This is so much better than a butcher block. We just redid our kitchen and the old butcher block did not fit in with the colors. I ordered this to replace the butcher block and found out that I could put a lot more knives in it. I was able to add all our steak knives and about five other knives. Looks great on the counter. Picture only shows a few knives (Most are already in the dish washer). But all in all I am very happy with it.

Fantastic deal! I was looking for a new universal knife block as my old one kept falling apart and after multiple times trying to glue it back together I finally trashed it. This one is much more sleek and lightweight- it holds a lot more than my previous knife block at a fraction of the price. I chose the black to match the appliances in my kitchen and it looks cool with the metallic finish. Must buy!

It's a good concept especially if you're one to purchase knives that don't come in a block set, but it doesn't grip the knives in all the slots and it gets really crowded easily with more than 5 knives. I personally needed this to store both steak knives and prep knives to keep them on top of the fridge and away from my kids who can reach inside the cutlery drawer. It does the job and it'll suffice for the next few years until my kids are old enough to know better.

The knife block is perfect for the set of steak knives that I had purchased. The knives were much larger than your average steak knife that you buy online. The set had 8 knives. This knife block is the perfect size for them.

Slots are to wide and don't hold the knives in place. This causes them to tilt and hit the side of the knife block which will dull the knives.

Heavy handled knives will fall toward the front of the block. Probably not something that will affect everyone, but I feel it's worth noting.

It is a good notion but does not work in practice. The slots for the knives are much too wide and the knives won't stay straight. Poor design and poor construction.

I bought this for my boyfriend to put his new chef knife and cleaver in. The holder has slits that all look the same so we had to try putting the knives in a few of them before finding which one fit best. Otherwise, it's a good, sturdy product with a nice, smooth finish! Would recommend :) Easy to clean too!

I had a lot of knives I use for various types of cooking. I was rather tired of them all sitting in a drawer instead of being all out on a counter. Further, my old knife block was wood and couldn't fit some of my larger chef's knives. This works well and even can fit the cleaver that I use. It has a nice metal finish and the knives sit nicely inside, you can even fit some smaller paring knives on the outside if need be.

super easy to put knives in and pull them out. light weight so can be slid along the counter if it is being stored in a cupboard.

It’s alright, would be better at an angle and if it wasn’t hollow in the middle and had something to secure the knife tips. But looks alright
