Poor Germination Rate
I tried these twice. Soaked seeds overnight and planted 12 seeds in July. Only three germinated (the Burgundy variety) and had poor production. Planted again hoping for a fall crop and had about 50% germination planting all three varieties. In contrast, I had some seeds I'd saved from some Clemson Spineless I planted in 2019. Those seeds had a better germination rate at about 75%.

50% germination rate
These ones were soaked overnight and planted in June (zone 8A) - i didn’t plant the entire packet of each but what I did plant about half of them germinated.

Gorgeous and delicious
I haven't planted the emerald yet. I was too excited to get burgundy okra. I planted 7 seeds and 4 germinated. I didn't have them in nearly enough soil, so one died almost immediately. They also got a bit leggy because, hi, I'm new to gardening. Anyway, I transplanted the remaining three and the cult of lizards who live in my backyard promptly broke the stem on one, about halfway up. It was probably for the best because my naive self thought I could plant these 8 inches apart. HAH! A little tender love and care (and a stake and a daily shake to strengthen them up), and the other two are now producing beautiful and delicious okra pods for me.Since I'm in Central FL, I'm expecting to be able to harvest these babies for a couple more months. I'm looking forward to spring when I can plant more of this, as well as some emerald, and freeze some breaded okra to fry all summer long.

Hooray!
I have little burgundy okra seedlings within a week! Very happy! I haven't used the other packet of green okra but will put them in the freezer for next year :) Thanks so much!

Disappointed
I normally grow Clemson spineless. Decided to try another variety this year. I’m not sure why but these seeds are not germinating. I’ve sewn them twice now. I’ve never had issues growing okra from seeds. I just planted another crop. Fingers crossed.
