I was a little suspect of whether this little welder would be any good as it i8s so cheap. I read all the reviews and thought I'd risk it. I have taught Design for many years, done up many old cars and made many metal things over the years, all with what would be considered 'better quality' kit, but I was NOT disappointed. This is a lovely little bit of kit for the price, and for smaller jobs (that is jobs with thinner metals like car bodies) this is extremely easy to use and a lot les hassle to cart around than the larger, more industrial machines I usually use. Also, I would imagine that it is a great little starter machine and ideal for the occasional or hobby user. Highly recommended.

Great little inverter welder. I haven't welded anything for about 20 years and not only was i shocked at the price but also the ease of use. It's tiny, weighs less than my cat and is considerably easier to carry about. It comes with a little fold together mask which works fine for little jobs. Very easy to strike an arc with it and the old skills were all flooding back in no time. I suspect it might not be great for big jobs, it's definitely a home use model but as that's what I'm using it for it's great for me.

Am I agreeing with the incorrect answers on here? Erm... No, sorry, I'm not... READ AND LEARNSo how does this work, without blowing a 13 amp AC fuse then?First it changes the AC voltage to DC... Would this still kill a 13 amp fuse? Yes but something is happening!Second It drops that DC voltage to about 25 volts... Even more is happening nowNow, to make it simpler, let's momentarily drop the fairly irrelevant AC/DCA "240 volts" 13 amp fuse CAN handle "25 volts" at 120 ampsOh gosh! This guy might know some FACTS!Let's make some home observations shall we?Go and look at a 3,000 watts kettle (make a cuppa in fact!). Low and behold it will have a 13 amps fuse.It only needs that because 3,000 Watts divided by 240 volts = 12.5 amps (it's called a sum!)12.5 amps is less than 13 amps isn't it?Let's do the welder:"25" (not 240) volts times 120 amps = 3,000 Watts... Has a similarity penny dropped?3,000 watts only needs a 12.5 amps fuse doesn't it, when it all starts at the socket at 240 volts and works down to a lesser voltage at higher amps... Less than a 13 amps 240 volts UK plug socket fuse in the end!"Watts are a universal measurement" (no time to explain here)So when you see the title of 120 amp welder and it even says "DC" then you 100% know that, because all UK sockets are AC, then something MUST BE CHANGING INSIDE mustn't it!No physics being re-written, no warp drive, no unicorns (sorry believers), just plain and simple FACTS of DROPPING THE VOLTAGE FIRST!If you feel like posting some incorrect info please have a look at the readily available facts on university and professional electrician sites on the internet.Enjoy the brew, and I hope you didn't plug the kettle into a three phase industry power outlet or join you and your neighbour's houses together to get the 3,000 watts power!

I bought this welder to work on a project for my son. The last time I used a welder was 44 years ago as a 2nd year sheet metal worker. I unpacked this welder and was surprised at how small it was but I was surprised and delighted at how easy it was to operate it. I have made and welded spindles and a frame of 50mm x 25mm x 3mm rectangular box section and this small but compact welder has stood up to the challenge. I am really glad I bought it and I would highly recommend it to everyone.

It does the job! Plug in and go. Not sure what rods I was using, 2mm? (Was given a bundle). I'm not a welder but have tried in the past using old machines. This is a tiny welder but as a novice I found it very easy to use. Take it out of the case, throw the supplied mask away, plug in the earth lead and rod holder and start welding. I did invest in an auto darkening helmet which is amazing. I bought the welder in order to modify a boat trailer, and it's already paid for itself.Once I've completed the trailer I'll be looking for more jobs, maybe I'll make some garden sculptures!

Good little welder, does a good job considering the size, light to carry and use

bought to replace an old, but very good welder, chose the mini a for home use you don't need more power, I build trikes, bikes, custom cars, a 120a will do it all,,, but at this low price??answer is yes, at this price,,its very very small but well built, lightweight, no fancy screens, just a power knob, strikes and welds perfectly, lovely neat welds, screens a bit diy, (for me) but c,mon, under £60????dunno how they make such a decent performing welder this small and good tbh, im a convert to this brand....

This is the 4th rohr welder I've bought. It was so small I thought it was a toy, but it can indeed weld very well! Just for the craic I welder 2 bits of 2.5mm angle iron together. Perfect. I wouldn't say you could weld all day with it given its duty cycle, but for small repairs its perfect.

Quando è arrivata viste le ridotte dimensioni pensavo di aver preso una fregatura,invece quando l'ho usata ho apprezzato moltissimo le caratteristiche di questa saldatrice, che permette veramente un ottimo lavoro. Fonde alla perfezione l'elettrodo e regolando la distanza d'uso si ha anche una buona penetrazione della fusione dei pezzi.

Va benone. Per quello che costa, son soldi spesi bene. Ovviamente è dedicata ad hobbisti. Ma credo possa spingersi anche oltre
