The story is some of the most remarkable red head representation I've ever seen and the tale made me cry. It's a sweet story about the bond between a father and his child and I just appreciate both the red head representation for both the father and the child but also a loving parent relationship with his kid. I didn't grow up with that. And I dont want to bring a kid into the world who equally doesn't have a father like that. Or adopt. I know this is a kids book, but it is beautifully illustrated and wrote. And it also got my point across. I bought two. One for me and one for my boyfriend. It's become my go to book on days when I feel like it would be impossible to have a child of my own and is a great source of comfort. It also brings me joy to know there are people out there who still love me even though I'm a red head. As someone who experienced severe bullying for being a red head, baggage I unfortunately carry woth me daily, I greatly appreciate this book.
