Sound very good to me. **Q: I have a pearl African mahoghany (13 inch) that I usally tune high for a good pop sound. Will this head accentuate or repress the pop?** A: Yes!! Absolutely 100%!! I use this on all of my snares and its the only one you can tighten up all the way to get that pop! The best is on my wood snares (it does the same for metal made snares also) and it is hands down the most durable, best made best sounding snare head on the market!
