Perfect
Works perfectly for my gaming headphones and the mic is great quality and clear on the other end while using this adaptor.

Simply works.
This works great for those laptops or other computers with a single 3.5mm jack. I don't hear anything wrong or distorted from the headphones or microphone. It IS a very short cable. The connectors are good and tight with a satisfying click on insertion. Easy to travel.

Works great for what I need it to do.
Recently built a new computer and the front header panel only had one audio jack/port that works as a shared/dual jack. I still use a headset that has two jacks, one headphones one mic. This guy right here, MillSO Headphone Mic Splitter, solved that problem! Connected it to the headset, then plugged it in, Windows asked me which one was which and now I'm back in action!

Does what it supposed to do.
It does what it supposed to do. Fairly easy to break.

Handy
I liked it. It works as described and it's inexpensive. The seller already highlights this is not supposed to be used with TS plugs (mono) - only TRS (stereo). This is important specifically for the mic connector, otherwise this will cause a short and no sound will be heard. A couple of reviewers already explain this well - there is a useful wiring diagram around too

Excellent Sound Quality - but eventually stopped working like all the others
Using this to connection a pair of high-end gaming headphones to an iphone 6S (when they still had a jack.) The most important thing is that I'm getting the high-quality audio in both directions that the headphones are capable of. I had originally only been able to find poorly made alternatives that did not make a clean connection to the iPhone jack, so I got static and poor quality audio. There is so much junk on the market for next to no money. I would always be happy to pay more for something that actually works. Maybe I'm not the only one? Durability-wise, it looks promising. Braided cable and durable-looking connectors. The only thing I would change, and this seems to be an unrecognized need for everything I've plugged into the iPhone jack, is a right-angle connector. Since I use this only at a desk it's not a big deal, but I've destroyed several pairs of earbuds because of the connector sticking out. Remember the original iPod ad with the people dancing? You can't actually do that. ;-)Updating rewiew: Had to stop using this as the connector eventually started having the same static and disconnection problem that every other one I've bought had. It seems that no one is able to make this type of item for the iPhone jack. My high-end earbuds never have this problem, so it's possible, just maybe not at this price point. Like I said, would happily pay more if a quality one existed.

Maybe It's Me and Not It????
I bought this because I have a MacBook and if you are a mac user, you know there is no mic port. I've started teaching online so I needed a headset with a mic. The headset works fine and I decided to get this adaptor so I'm also able to use the mic. Well maybe it's me or my headset, but when I plug it in to use, it works for about 10-20 minutes and then all of a sudden it just stops. But it's only the mic part that stops working. The headset is still fine. I don't know if it's my headset, my mac, or this adaptor. So I'll give it 3 stars just for the benefit of the doubt.

🎤 Allows hookup of external mics (and more) to device 📱🤳🏼 4-pole plug to two 3-pole receptacles
We had an issue where a phone being used for filming could not receive audio from a wireless mic. 🔇 After investigating, the reason is the stereo jack would not activate the "recording from external microphone" on the device because the audio cable was only 3 poles rather than 4, which carries the mic audio in some microphones and headphones/headsets with built in mics. This gave us exactly what we needed, a 4 pole plug that would fit the 4 pole receptacle in the device, allowing for recording from an external 3 pole stereo source. Our videos have audio now! 🔊😅👂Note: If the mic or mic-in headphones you need to plug in has 4 poles, you'll need to get a different adapter, one in which the Y split inputs are also 4 poles. We got one to suit that purpose as well. Happy recording! 🎈🎧🎶
