I ordered this after I received a Halloween costume with a broken battery pack with USB plug in. This item was solidly built and I swapped it out with the broken one. The price was not outrageous, so it was a good purchase. Now I also have a spare fan!

The fans that come in the costumes from Spirit Halloween are hot garbage. Really glad my wife had the foresight to order a backup here or Halloween would have been ruined for our six-year-old. The first fan with our inflatable dinosaur costume from Spirit Halloween failed within five minutes. I went back and got a replacement they pulled from a different costume that was a slightly different design. That one worked fine in the store but literally lasted 30 seconds before it broke in the exact same way as we started Halloween. On both the garbage fans from Spirit Halloween, the fan became disconnected from the spindle in a way that wasn't realistically repairable. I'm an engineer and very into repairing and salvaging broken items. THIS fan we bought from Amazon lasted the whole night and is still working now. If you bought an inflatable costume from Spirit Halloween, make sure you buy a good fan like this because the ones that come in the costumes are time bombs with very short fuses ready to send your child into the devastation of not having a Halloween costume when it's way to late to fix the situation which will invariably be a core memory and turn them into a serial killer or used car salesman.Bottom line: Do not buy an inflatable costume from Spirit Halloween. But if you do, you MUST buy a fan like this or you will devastate a child.

Works great so glad I can use my costume again

Worked great for our Dinosaur costume we lost the original one.

This lasted less than 1/2 a day. It inflated my son's dino costume well in the morning. After about an hour of use, the fan began to rattle loudly. We gave it a break for awhile. When he used it later in the day, the fan was so loud that he was embarrassed to wear his costume anymore. It still inflated fine; it was just ridiculously loud. New batteries didn't help. Piece of cheap junk.

I bought two of these as spares, and they appear and functional identically to the one that came with the costume, which warned against running 30+ minutes to prevent overheating. I used one of these for another project and they both held up for halloween, as well as a lot of play time aside from that so far. Good value.

What a perfect replacement for the dinosaur Halloween costume. It fits perfectly and works great. I can’t believe I found this online. What a great find.

I bought 2 one was perfect the other was still warm out of the mold and warped I guess. Hard to screw the ring off and on.
