Sorry I had to change my review that needs a special extension to work on a quarter inch jack. I had a different set of headphones, so it was my misunderstanding. If you have the typical small street headphones, I am sure this extension works fine.

I used this to plug a 20 foot cable into a Yamaha receiver so I could use headphones from my easy chair while watching the TV. My HyperX Cloud headphones worked perfectly.

My setup is EVO4 --> This adapter --> BOSE 3.5mm to 2.5mm cable --> BOSE QC35II headphone.The problem I am seeing is that the socket does not fully contact the headphone cable, resulting a bunch of noise and the sound is often mono channeled. I have to turn the cable to a particular angle to get good sound, and usually need to adjust multiple times to have the cable stay at that angle. Even if it sounds okay now, it actually generates a bunch of noise which is present in the recorded audio (and can heard by people in the web meeting).Luckily I have an audio extension cable which seems securely contact with the socket, and the BOSE cable also securely contact with the socket of the extension cable, this is how I work around this issue. Recently, I purchased a CK88 electric keyboard that has a 1/4" phone jack. But my CK88 doesn't offer blue tooth for my headphones and the jack on my headphones is much smaller than 1/4". This jack easily solves my problem and now I can play my CK88 without bothering anyone. Nice!

I've used this with a CD player and an amplifier. Both worked well.

The Connection is not tight enough so, it intermittently cuts in and out.

Falso contacto desde el primer dia

I use it with some very old HiFi, very very good gear; Perfect. I am concerned about plugging and unplugging into the existing phone jack. Repairing this old gear can be problematic, this little guy stays plugged in. If it wears out I simply get another. It's also a solid connection.

Spent an hour trying to get sound of my equipment tell i found out the new adapter was faulty, witch was the my first connection. I know cheap but at least should work for a week.

It worked wonderfully at the first time and I tried to listen to recordings the second time, the connectivity is not stable. It creates static sound.
