Berkshire Women's Cozy Tight with Fleece-Lined Leg

I have some fleece-lined tights that are 25+ years old, and they were baggy when I bought them. I decided it was time for new ones, and these are the best. They are very soft and warm without being thick. The top is just right...not too tight, not too loose. I bought them in black, navy and grey. The colors are true and they wash well.

These seem like great quality and they feel warm. The “fleece” is not thick or plush — for me that is a bonus, I didn’t want super bulky tights. I still think this thinner fleece lining will still be very warm. I bought these to wear with dresses and skirts but will probably also wear them under jeans and pants, like a base layer. They seem very durable.SIZING: I didn’t fall in range of any of the size chart categories. I’m 5’6” and 118ish pounds, 26” waist/36” hips and typically a 25 in jeans. I went for the M size based on height since I can’t stand fighting against tights that are too short, and they fit very well. They fall about 3 inches higher than my belly button and aren’t constricting, but do fit snug like tights should.

I live in the frigid north. I had an event to go to that I would have to wear a dress, not something I wear in the winter. I always wear long john type leggings and top under my clothes in the winter to keep warm, so I was looking for insulated tights to wear with my dress. This were great. They are even warm on the feet- I had no frigid, ice cube toes in my dress shoes. The color (I chose a chocolate brown- not sure that was the NAME of the color) was exactly like I saw on their color chart, so that was a plus, too.

When you get this out of the package, you will think “oh there’s no way that’ll fit” but it will. Tights are miracle workers, but they’re not gods. Once you get them to your knees, stand wide and squat to stretch the waistband out a bit. Definitely go a size up, I’m usually a 2x but I hate tights pinching me. The size I picked (3x-4x) don’t, and they’re super cozy and comfortable. It’s not fleece (technically) on the inside, but it is a comfy, soft material. They are tight where my thighs meet my hips, but tights usually are so I’m not bothered, they are super stretchy, I even still have room to stretch at my thighs. They’ve gone a bit sheer at the very top of my thighs and my stomach (these are very high rise- I have a short torso, so I could pull these up to my shoulders, so I think they’ll be high on regular people) but these places won’t be showing in the skirts and dresses I’ll be wearing them in. The “fleece” is even down in the foot, so you probably won’t need to wear socks on top of the tights, although you could if you wanted to be extra warm. They’re also super staticky out of the packaging- I took mine out and they immediately picked up cat hair xD I’ve worn tights for a large portion of my life (I did ballet for 12 years) so I’ve seen the best and worst of tights, and these are on the better side.

I was asked to go to Warsaw, Poland to n January for business. I bought two pairs of these tights so I could walk to the conference center from the hotel in -6C temperatures while wearing g a sweater dress. They work! They are incredibly comfortable too. I wore them under some jeggings one day….THAT was a little too toasty for any indoor use. However, if going to a football game or outdoor event in winter, I HIGHLY recommend.

I have mixed feelings about these tights...Pros: They are LONG. Tall girls rejoice b/c these will actually be long enough for you. They hold their shape very nicely, and while the material is not exactly what I expected (not as thick nor "fleece lined" as I expected) it does feel nice one. They do not feel like they will run very easily.Cons: These really are not fleece lined. They're more similar to brush cotton lined tights that I've purchased rather than fleece lined. Most fleece lined tights are as opaque as leggings. These are definitely not. They are thicker/more opaque than the average tights, but nowhere near as much as other fleece lined tights I've had.Also, the waistband is definitely the thin/tight waistband that you get on regular tights rather than the the thick super soft/stretchy ones you usually find on fleece lined leggings.These were warmer than regular tights, but not as warm as I would expect. My guess is that I'd be ok up to about 40 F, but anything colder than that - well these would help, but not feel like wearing actual pants.I'm 5'9" and about 160. I ordered the 1X-2X. I'm very pear shaped, so even though I'm not a fan of waist bands that dig in, I can usually handle them (because my waist is pretty small). I could not deal with these for a full day. I was incredibly uncomfortable by the end of the day (with the waist band). Will keep them and use them for less-than-all-day outings. Might also try ordering a pair of 3X-4X to see if that helps with the waist band, just because the length is so awesome I'd really like to find a way to make this brand work.

Size up. I normally wear 1x or 2x in almost everything but purchased the 3x and I'm glad I did. They fit just right. As others have said, they are not really fleece lined. But it is a comfortable lining of some sort. I wore them underneath an above knee plaid dress yesterday. It was a chilly day here but I felt comfortable and warm and stylish all day long. I will probably purchase a second pair.

I have a hard time with tights because I have really long legs and I'm almost tall at 5'9- these are so comfortable and stretchy! I wear them high waisted and they are warm but not too warm- although I live in Colorado and they are pretty cozy for snow days!

Even though it was large for me, still ripped and got corroded after one day of wearing. Do not buy.

I only got these as these are the closed available tights to my skin colour for layering. Not many companies are doing those fleece lined transparent tights for darker skin so I am using these to layer under my lower denier tights. It works well.

Unlike most tights, these actually fit. That should be the review right there and probably all most of us girls want to know! They do have a fleece lining but you wouldn't notice when they are on - it isn't itchy or bulky at all. I was warm though, warmer than wearing most tights. Perfect for the winter if you still want to wear skirts or dresses. 5 stars, I love them!
