These spade connectors are large, measuring 3/8 in. across the inside of each pole. They fit nicely however on my bookshelf speaker terminals. The wire seems securely held in the internal barrel by two large screws. Lesser quality plugs have only one. What attracted me to these was that they were made made of solid copper (according to the description). I prefer these over those claiming gold plating. Pure copper, in my opinion, provides less resistance and signal loss. I would recommend these to those who want to save money purchasing a better product.

Was just too large for what i needed.

I picked up a pair of Klipsch Heresy IVs recently, and standard spade plugs were just too small to set around the posts (the posts measure at least 7mm in width.) I didn’t want to do bare wire for worry of eventual corrosion and fraying. I needed a spade connector with at least 8mm wide space between the tines to connect to my speakers. I search Amazon, but none were even that close until I found these.These spade connectors are perfect for the larger posts that are on high end speakers, such as Klipsch Heritage series. They were easy to connect to the 12 AWG wires I use on my system. There is a protector in the wire channel that has to be pulled out before you put the wire in. The set screws to hold the wire in place were easily driven flush so the outer case (the silver part,) could pass over them easily. Best of all, they fit around the posts of the Heresy speakers easily, and were easily secured to the speakers.I only have two minor gripes with these spades. First the spade itself can be unscrewed from the rest of the connector. It may make it easier to use the connectors with even larger (10 AWG or larger,) wire, but for my purposes, it was just one more thing to make sure was tight. Both sides are gold plated, so there should be no issues with lack of connection. The other is the value department. I would really like to see these in a pack of 4 pair per pack (total 8,) but all things considered and for the fit, it has good value overall.

Very frustrated at beginning, I could not take of the Y spades off from their collar with several of them.Some screws in the Y spades are just on the way and block them off the collar. I almost wanted to return them.Finally I figured the way to get them working and save my time. I used a small screw driver to get inside the collars and poke the tiny screws to make them a little bit tight, that helps get Y spades out the collars.

Very disappointed. If you use 14 wire and tighten on the sheath it is almost impossible to slip the round tube over the set screws. When I tried to attach to my older speaker, the spade was too wide. I tried to crimp it a little and it broke off. I had to use a washer on the non broken ones very disappointed for such a simple device.

While reading the reviews I was startled to discover the amount of people not realizing these were not for a car stereo. While it may seem obvious to you and me let me assure these are definitely not for car stereos. They are for your home stereo and they work like a jim dandy banger. You just connect them correctly and they will make excellent contact with your speakers allowing you to enjoy uninterfered with whatever beautiful sounds you decide to blast through your speakers.If you are buying these for your old vintage system as I did let me assure you that these adequately solved an issue I was having. As my speakers are vintage one of the connections at the back comes loose and I was having all kinds of signal issues with that speaker. I tried many other solutions but the quality and size of these connections really solved my issue.

When I came aross this product, I was happy to test them out for the price! I used 12 gauge wire with my stereo, so setup was not difficult at all. I would say that I hear a noticeable improvement to sound as well!

Semble de bonne qualité par contre pour insérer des fils de calibre 12 j'ai dû remplacer les petites vis de retenue car elles sont trop longues sans ce problème ça aurait mérité un 5 étoiles!

Easy to install, sound quality was same as before. Glad I got them!
