Will not cut seven strand wire. Ordered then for this purpose. Cutting jaws do not meet and are not adjustable.

It's not cheap, but this is by far the best multi tool I've encountered yet. Many multi tools have weak cutters that shift and become uneven especially if you're working with higher pound mono. This thing cuts through a Uni Knot of 100lb mono without a blink and then right after will do a clean cut through braid with a neat little "snip" sound. Do yourself a favor and bite the bullet. You can buy $20 multi tools month after month, or just spend the money on this and get a really nice piece of equipment that will last and do everything you want

I personally think the handles are too bulky. Other than that i can see the pliers would work wonderful. Just because of the handles i don't use it

This is a great tool. Ergonomics are very good. Carrying case is well constructed. My only complaint would be the ring for the retractable leash. It needs to be pried open quite a bit to install it and the ring is not a good quality of spring steel so it takes a set when it is opened and it is difficult to get it flat again.

Sheath -Plastic Belt mounting mechanism broke on the first outing.I was wading in the water fishing, Pulled pliers out of sheath, unhooked fish, put pliers back in sheath ... all good right.After catching and releasing a couple fish, upon stepped up out the water the belt clip broke and the sheath with pliers in them fell into the water, got swept away in the current and I assume they are in the bottom of the river somewhere.If you buy these, get a different sheath or you will be buying another pair of pliers like me.I gave the rating a 1 star because the pliers felt like they may have been decent, don't know though.I am looking for a different pair of pliers now. :-(beware & Good luck

So far they are excellent. My son hooked a barracuda and the hook was caught up pretty bad. I was able to cut the barb with the cutter. Also the pliers are excellent at gripping. The tool comes with a flexible cord that attaches to the tool and holster. Very happy with it. Lastly there has been no rust build up anywhere on this tool which usually happens after a couple of weeks.

You can feel the quality in these pliers. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to treat themselves.

Quality fishing tool until the line cutter chipped 3 weeks later. I guess fluorocarbon line was too hard for the inserts.

Je les adore! Simply love them. They cut braid like nothing. I broke the first pair but they sent me another one right away! Good service. The nose of the plier could be a bit longer to my taste. Very good!
