Incredibly Sharp Scissors
These are very easy to pick up and put down, comfortable in the hand, plus they allow for a thumb and 4 finger grip for more control and strength of cut. We have had a pair of Japanese carbon steel scissors for over 6 years now and they are still as sharp as new. Having a thumb and 2 finger holes made it challenging to put down and pick up those scissors. The ergonomics of these Ascend scissors work so much better for persistent handling it's like night and day. Just be advised: The blades on these scissors are very sharp!

Smooth cuts
Love these scissors! Had to sharpen my regular shears after attempting to cut Kevlar. These cut like butter. Well worth the money.

Excellent for cutting sailboat rope
Great for cutting tough fibers of modern ropes. First pair lasted 3 years. Just ordered second pair. :)

Cuts through tough materials but easy on your hands
I have many pairs of scissors, but none that cut well through more challenging and thicker materials. I don't own any Kevlar and I'm not sure what some of the other materials listed in the title even are, but so far they've cut through everything I've tried them on with absolute ease. I'm a little surprised, because when I got them and looked at the plastic handles and short blades, I thought I'd been had and that these were just some cheap scissors with an expensive price. They cut through very thick cardboard as well as a heavy-duty rubber yoga mat like butter. No difficulty or straining on my part, nor did they hurt my hands. The handles are surprisingly comfortable. I do have small female hands, so keep that in mind. If you have big meaty guy hands YMMV. I'm keeping these.

Great quality
These steel shears are exactly what I needed in my workshop to cut thru rope and tough cardboard. They work amazingly well. I am impressed with the ease in which they cut through a vast array of materials, they are comfortable to hold in your hand while cutting. Very pleased with their performance.

The perfect scissor
The best scissors that I ever owned. Cut pretty nicely and smoothly. I use it for plastic and it did the cut with no issues. The handle feels made of good material and the scissors too. my favorite scissor now.
