The picture showed a person holding the finger guard with their right hand. It works well with either hand, it is easy to clean, and it doesn't take up a lot of room in the storage drawer. It protects your fingers when using a knife, a grater, or a mandoline. It is the best gadget that I have ever purchased

This little gadget is exactly what I was looking for. Freshly grated cheese on a box grater is the best... but I was always cutting my fingers. this little guard works to prevent that.

Kinda odd at first but got used to it. Just hope I can think to use it every I should.

Pros: my fingers are protected and it's dishwasher-safe Cons: it's a pain to use. I can't figure out how I'm supposed to hold it. The sides continually poke into my skin as I use it, and I have to keep adjusting the food I'm trying to grate. Overall, I will keep it because I don't like bleeding, but it's not the miracle tool I was hoping for.

Good quality stainless steel works well for carrots , small vegetables and cheese.

The item was nice the way it was. I heated it up and bent it to a larger flexible area to fit larger vegetables with more surface area on that vegetable. Works great now for my uses.

don't waste your money on this. I bought it to use on an old fashioned box grater -- specifically for carrots. It doesn't have much grip. Yes, better than going barehanded and risking cuts, but not much. I'm using my food processor with the grating blade now for carrots, hard cheese, etc., and it is SO much better. and not risk of taking off part of my fingers.

Not best suited for smaller pieces of cheese, or maybe it needs more practice than I have patience for...I didn't like this thing. Difficult to clean.
