Beautiful ink flow.
I received this fountain pen today and the packaging was excellent, Waterman Allure comes in a nice box so it has a really nice presentation, under the pen holder is a cartridge of blue ink, I also ordered the Waterman black ink cartridges so loaded one of those in. Held the pen vertical with the nib facing down for a couple of minutes to allow the ink to flow through to the nib, started writing and the ink flows beautifully, no scratchy noises whilst scribing...a really nice experience and for the price it's excellent. The cap clips on and off with a satisfying click and the barrel is a screw on and off, the ink cartridge slots home with minimal fuss and the assembly is straightforward. It's comfortable to grip and I really like this pen...if you are looking at writing with a fountain pen then this will be a great experience. For occasional use I feel like it will last for quite a few years, for EDC it should last quite a while as long as you are careful with it. Summary....an excellent pen, comfortable and great ink flows. Thoroughly recommended!

Exactly as described
I ordered this fountain pen because I own another Waterman fountain pen but higher quality, received as a gift. Comparing them this one feels lightweight, made of light plastic but from here comes also the affordable price. But comes in a large variety of colours, arrived with one ink cartridge, and the nib doesn't make scratchy noises. It feel nice writing with it, comfortable holding it. Hope to last long time same as the other one which I have for almost 4 years already. I like it. Update: after using it few days, and putting the lid in the pack of the pen, i noticed that the red paint is going away, the lid causing scratches on the red paint. Cheap. Waterman is an excellent brand, but this model disappoints me.

Good Writing Fountain Pen.
Waterman Allure Fountain Pen | Red Lacquer | Fine Nib | Blue Ink | Gift Box If you are looking for an inexpensive fountain pen then this is ideal. Writes smoothly on the page, nib glides does not dig into the paper. Stylish looking, light weight. I have several colour versions which I use with corresponding ink colours eg. Black barrel colour with black ink therefore I know which colour ink will write but you can obviously use which ever colour ink in the pen. The converter is simple to fill and also works well with either the converter or ink cartridge fitted. Ink flow is continuous steady flow to nib.

happy purchase
I'm really happy with my purchase. After many years of writing with a biro, I decided to go back to a fountain pen! And this was a nice addition to my pencil case. The pen is nice and sleek, easy to hold and so far it hasn't given me any issues. I mainly write on ordinary paper/copies/diary and there has been no smudge or leaks of ink. The only thing I would say is that it's not as smooth as my Parker fountain pen to write with (the nib seems to be slightly harder to write with, it's not as soft), but I still reach for it every day! 😉 All in all is a great little pen, good value for money and I can use generic cartridge which is a great plus!! 😊

Lovely pen
This is a ballpoint pen. It's a lovely pen and I use mine constantly. It's not as smooth as a rollerball, but you don't have to worry about ink smudge. I use both. I use my ballpoint for writing notes for courses and my journal and for any longer writing that requires speed, whilst I use my rollerball for occasional notes and reminders etc. that are less likely to smudge. Personally, I love this pen. It is beautiful, comfortable, well made, and writes well. As long as you are aware that it is a ballpoint and will not write/flow in the same manner as a rollerball or gel pen, I can't see anyone not loving this pen. It is also one of the prettiest that I own. It is really classy looking. I think my only grumble would be that it comes with blue ink initially and you don't have the option to order with black ink. If you want black, you have to buy extra refills in black and swap the inks over.

Not the expected quality
Ordered for a present for Mother's Day. The colour is pretty. However, for a Waterman, the product looks cheap and reminds me of Stypens from the 1980's. I expected and am disappointed by the quality. It is overpriced and does not exude the expected quality from the established name. The gift box was equally disappointing and is just a standard box. It did come with an ink cartridge but this was at the bottom of the box. Not worth £15 at all.
