So much research went into purchasing these. I ended up choosing this set and am very pleased. My son absolutely loves these and plays with them every day. He loves to cut his fruit while I make dinner and do my chopping. It's all wooden with velcro attachments. They stick together well, even when I drop them they don't come apart. The only one with a problem is the banana. It doesn't stay together very well. But the fruit is all very colorful and detailed and we love them. Yes it's not all realistic to cut the fruit the way that they have it, but the point is to work on cutting and motor skills, identify fruit, and learn through play. My son loves it and it is doing it's job. Good quality and good price.They really are mostly just for cutting though. You can't do much else with them. They do stay together so you could carry them around and pretend like you are eating them and that kind of stuff, but I would recommend other play food for other purposes.

My kids loved this toy! They couldnt decide what the yellow was so at one point they were feeding us butter haha i had to look this item up again and let them know it was cheese. Otherwise great item. They felt like mom n dad with their own cutting board and knife too!

We love this play food set. It's so cute and is a great selection of foods. The only real con is that the knife is too thick to easily cut through the food. We use a knife from another brand's food cutting set instead, no problem! We use this cutting board all the time with other sets too. Also note that these aren't water friendly, and a few of the pieces are choking hazards. I highly recommend it!

Knife is way too thick to cut through any of the Velcro pieces. Otherwise, my kids love playing with them (using another play knife). I like the variety of meats too.

My toddler saw these on a video and loved the sound of the Velcro being snapped apart, so I had to get him some. He still loves these, however the Velcro doesn't work very well and the parts fall apart quite easily. We didn't get that satisfying snapping sound! They are good quality though and I would recommend them for any chef in training!

Very solid wood pieces, I have a 10 month old and am not worried about choking - he loves them! Just what I was looking for. I’m actually going to check what other toys/play food they carry because the quality is so good!

The deli items are cute, however, the knife is so thick it won't slice anything. Fortunately, I have a knife from another cutting product that works just fine. Without that, we wouldn't be able to "cut" the deli items.

Not bad for the price. I would buy again. 4-5 year kept mentioning how they werent like the one at the toy store (less quality), but velcro did stick and knife "worked". Plus it was more for the 1 year olds toy kitchen. She is good with her hands even though she is very young so its great for her. Pieces are pretty small too which agsin works for the little ones.
