Tower Scandi T24027SBW Manual Microwave with 60-Minute Timer, 6 Power Levels, 20L, 800W, White

I used to have a silver and black Russell Hobbs microwave that I picked up in a hurry from ASDA. After a year of use, all the enamel on the floor inside the microwave started bubbling and flaking, revealing corrosion. After a few more years of use, the light bulb blew and I couldn’t find a way of replacing it. And after 8 years it one day simply stopped working while in use.It had a multitude of buttons on its digital display with probably hundreds of options. I never figured out how to use any options so I only ever used one button that said something like Quick Start and would make the machine go on high for 30 seconds. So for 8 years I tapped this 30 second button as many 30 second intervals as needed, with no internal light towards the end, and with a corroded inside which always looked dirty due to the corrosion.Fast forward to now. I’ve owned this white Tower microwave for a few months. Every day I enjoy looking at it, it is really beautiful. The curved ply handle is particularly beautiful in contrast with the silver accents and black glazed door, and lovely white front.In the few months I’ve had it, I’ve used it to cook rice, reheat food, and defrost meat by simply turning the top dial to defrost. The two dials are so simple to use, absolutely anyone could use this microwave correctly.But the frosting on the cake, so to speak, is the unexpected chrome detailing on the underside of the handle which looks beautiful and feels great on the hand.I now am careful to leave the door ajar until the interior is fully dry if I microwave anything that creates humidity inside. I don’t want a repeat of the corrosion! So with a teeny bit of care I expect this love machine to last hopefully a lifetime!—Update:May 2023Still love this microwave. Still works perfectly and looks like new.

I like simplicity, i didnt need a do everything smart oven, i just needed a basic microwave for occasional use. I also wanted something that looks nuce in my new kitchen. This ticks those boxes. No problems or design faults.

Bought for my mum who is blind. She can use it without any difficulties. It’s very nice looking and looks expensive with its classy door handle

Bought this for my 90+ yr old parents as their first microwave.I liked;The large door handle, easy to grab and open.Easy controls. No buttons for arthritic fingers to fumble withNO confusing LED or LCD display for old eyes to squint at and decipher.Good visibility window to check on cooking progress.So far it has worked well as a defrosting and reheating device for ready meals, soups as well as porridge and others.The bonus is it looks great on the kitchen worktop as opposed to the usual charmless stainless steel/white box options.

I love it it is easy to use and easy to clean.

I loved this microwave but sadly it didn't last. I've owned two of these exact same microwaves now, each one only lasting 1 year before it stopped working and had to be replaced. Such a shame as the microwave looks great, does everything I wanted and was a good price. I believe this may now be discontinued as the last time we tried to replace our broken microwave we couldn't find the same model available, even directly with Tower.

Have brought all the tower scandi range realy pleased with it all all looks great in my kitchen

easy to use, looks good , really good value for money, I would highly recommend this microwave , no frills or fuss but such good value.
