Would this be a good size for a dollhouse (1/12) or Barbie (1/6)?

I find that most of the "World's Smallest" toys are not actually in scale for the typical 1/12 dollhouse, or for Barbie. They are, generally, a bit larger and bulkier than would look good at those scales - but then, they are also working toys, so that's a definite excuse for their size. I tend to use them as accessories for my 8" baby dolls (e.g. American Girl "caring for baby") and/or my 13" child dolls (e.g. Maru & Friends minipals and Effner's Little Darlings). I have included a photo of all the aforementioned dolls along with various "World's Smallest" toys. The Barbie is holding my ViewMaster. Her face is too narrow to actually "use" it; she could only look through one eyepiece at a time. The 8" baby's face is a perfect size; the 13" doll is just a smidgeon big, but could make it work. As you can see, the "World's Smallest" items are not all made to the same scale. The one closest to Barbie scale seems to be the slinky hound dog. In my opinion (owning more than a couple dozen "World's Smallest"), very few "World's Smallest" are Barbie scale or 1/12 scale. Nonetheless, if you positioned them carefully to take advantage of perspective, you could do photoshoots where they seemed to be approximately the same scale.

No there is only one reel that comes with the ViewMaster.

Will it fit in an Easter egg?

Hi Ldighera, The WS Fisher Price View Master is packaged in a clamshell merchandiser that measures approx 8.5" X 5.5" X 2.5". So the Easter Egg you want to use needs to consider the dimensions of the package. If you take it out of the package, I will fit in a much smaller egg. Hope this answers your question. "what" scenes are in the pictures ????

The mini Viewmaster really works! The scenes are a Barbie House, Hot Wheel Monster Truck, Fisher Price Popper, Hot Wheels Car, Masters of the Universe, and Fisher Price Little People and Cars and Barbie Pens, So they are pictures of other Mattel Toys and I think they are also The World's Smallest ones.

Mini view master...so cool

May be a lemon, but the pictures are upside down when viewed

I will probably use this in a doll display, so my main criticism is somewhat moot. Nonetheless, as it was advertised as working, I actually put the disk in and viewed the pictures. Note: only one view port is useable; the other is dark, which shouldn't matter because at this size you can only use one eye to use it anyway. Nonetheless, I was very disappointed to see that every picture on the disk was upside down when viewed through my viewer. That's not the way the "real" View-Masters worked. The item itself looks like and operates like the "real thing". The disk is much heavier and thicker for its size, but if it were otherwise, I expect it would get seriously damaged the first time you tried it out like I did. If only the views were right-side-up!

I am pleased to have bought this item it does work but tricky on which side you need to insert the reel. The pictures on it are not that great but for the size it is what it is.
