For seven centuries, the enigma of Baphomet has mystified both scholars and the general public. Did the Knights Templar really worship a demonic idol of that name? If so, what does the word mean? What is the origin of this figure? What was the nature of the rituals that the Templars performed in secret? What were their covert beliefs? Why, if the Templars initially described their idol as a mummified severed head, is this figure now represented as a hermaphrodite human with the head of a goat? Authors Tracy R. Twyman and Alexander Rivera have dived head-first into the bottomless abyss of this mystery and returned with some astounding wisdom to share. Here for the first time they reveal the genesis of these symbols, showing how they relate to the Witches' Sabbath, traditions of Sufi Islam, alchemy, Gnosticism, cabalism, the teachings of Hermes Trismegistus, and so much more. Learn why the Templars and their beloved severed head are frequently associated with John the Baptist, and how this connects to his student, Simon Magus. Discover the real facts about things like the Chinon Parchment, The Book of the Baptism of Fire , the Templar Abraxas seals, and newly-found documents which claim that the Templars discovered the real Temple of Solomon during a secret trip to Mecca. Join Twyman and Rivera on this exciting adventure into the unknown. Immerse yourself in this knowledge, if your heart has the strength. It is certain that your mind will never be the same. Review: Well worth the read, pick up a copy before it shoots up to $100 or more! - Very happy that I picked this book up before it either went out of print or the price raised up to $100 like other occult books of this genre. I've seen it on E-bay for $75 so it's probably going to shoot up in price! I'm about halfway through this amazing compilation of occult & religious facts pertaining to the myths & legends of Baphomet. So much information, so many winding roads to go down within each chapter. I'm happy that the authors did such an amazing job tying everything together & at no point does the reader feel overwhelmed or lost in the mythos. No erroneous verbiage or gaggly goo occult language like some other researchers in this field (are you listening Shani??), just a great read! My only complaint is that Freddy Silva didn't write the forward or have a had in this book. Review: Dense, rewarding - This book was not an easy read, but considering the undertaking - to try and trace the meaning behind Baphomet - I really don't see how it could be anything but what it is. Baphomet is not something summed up easily or neatly. This book collects many scattered pieces of history, and places them together forming a very large puzzle. Some pieces are more obvious than others - and at times this book feels like it is digressing deeply. However, I support the wide angle lens of the approach here, as this is the most honest way to express what we can know about Baphomet, which is ultimately limited for the average person. It is a lot to take in with one reading, but I imagine multiple readings will lead to a more and more rewarding experience. And as someone already stated - one could spend years researching some of the many topics, individuals, and writings this book brings up while exploring the meaning of Baphomet. Fascinating and educational.

You want to understand Baphomet? Are you sure? ...then buy this book.
This book is an encyclopedic explanation of the findings of the author--over decades of her life--concerning the root of the Holy Grail and Templar Mysteries. No greater work exists on this subject to date. The narrative is clear, concise, unbiased and there are so many references that you could literally spend 5 years exploring her sources and not gain as full a knowledge of "Baphomet" as herself and Alex have gained. THERE IS NO OTHER BOOK LIKE THIS IN THE WORLD. The comparison and exploration of Baphomet and it's links to other 'gods' like Abraxas or Sophia is head and shoulders above anything else I've seen. No holds barred. Twyman and Rivera do not candy coat, or shy away from anything. Insights into human and child sacrifice, blood rituals, sacred severed heads, ancient and modern gnosticism, and especially Alchemy abound here in this text. BUY THIS BOOK. Gain a greater understanding of the mysteries of the world you've been born into. You wont regret it.

Wow. Talk about a rabbit hole.
Thought-provoking research, bizarre history, and the straight-up whack stuff folks will do for power made this an addictive, if-not-creepy, read.

WHEN THE STUDENT IS READY THE MASTER APPEARS
Well its like this. It turns out that the world is yet to realize just how deep this thing really gets. After thousands of years of indoctrination and manipulation even being able to grasp the truth is a difficult feat even for the Adept. However when one is tired of the endless incarnations and is ready to know the truth that most can't handle then here it is. Wrapped up with a bow on it. :-) As a thorough researcher I can say there are lifetimes worth of knowledge in this work and things even translated from the German that most that speak English only will never see thus never being able to connect the missing links. My only complaint is that there are not a few more stars to give it. Amazing work by Twyman and Rivera.

PASSIONNANT

Tracy Twyman does it again with a exceptionally fascinating read with Baphomet: The Temple Mystery Unveiled. IMHO Tracy is one of the best researchers in her field and never disappoints in her new discoveries of old mysteries. A must read for anyone truly interested in the mystery of the Knights Templar, a new twist to the story of John the Baptist, and for everyone needing additional insight into the origins of human existence and myth. Truly impressed.

Bound in hell
3 places in the book it was bound with pages bent over. See photos. Tried to dig them out but damage already done. In the process of exchange atm and will report the status on that. Just a shame what the average everyday book world has become. Print on demand taking over. Edit. Received replacement copy and returned faulty one. Seems we are stuck with print on demand for a while. At least the replacement is not bound in hell, hence me changing from 2 to 5 stars. The subject matter is interesting indeed.

Nicht sehr wissenschaftlich
Hat viele wertvolle Informationen. Ist streckenweise langatmig. Quellenangaben fehlen oft.
