My son is 8 years old. He loved this pen, however it stopped working about a week or two after it was purchased. It somehow became jammed and we couldn't fix it. I found out through another amazon review that their customer service was great and I'm so glad I saw that! I contacted them easily by phone, spoke with Charlie, who was so kind, and he proceeded to email me, walking through the process of trying to fix the pen. Once they realized the pen was not fixable, they sent us a replacement within a couple days! So excited for my son to be able to use this pen again!

We've only used it once, and there's definitely a learning curve, but it's a lot of fun! We made a cute little frog, and my daughter is already asking to make more things. Color quality is good, the spoed ana tad fast but you get used to it. The material adheres well and the functionality is good, though obviously, a little learning is involved.

I know, I know it was for kids...but, hey we all have to start someone and don't have the funds to be shelling out for the big kid toys. And one more little tad bit info...the pen tip stays warm, so you still want to keep it away from small kids while it’s running. It’s safe, just not something you leave sitting around unattended. It does take a minute to get your hand steady and learn when to cut the flow so you’re not left with extra strings. My first little flower looks like it’s fighting for its life, but that’s a “me” issue, not a pen issue. The pen feeds the filament smoothly, heats up fast, and is perfect for practicing techniques or sketching out small prototype ideas before moving to anything serious. The only thing I’ll say is: don’t expect professional-level lines right out the box. This is a true starter tool — but for the price and for learning the basics? It does exactly what it needs to do. Solid pen, no regrets.

Bought this for our 5 and 7 year old children. They have spent hours playing with these and I can't believe how much they have used them. Really great for kids looking to get started in 3D printing. Very easy to use and once the start and loading instructions are learned, the kids do not need much intervention when playing. Battery life is around 45 minutes for us which seems adequate to me. Very kid friendly, does not get too hot, overall we are super happy with the purchase.

It is good for a starter. Charge does not last long. Limited supply of colors. Probably will do 5-6 small projects. Could be cheaper for what it does and what you get. Did not feel strong smell. Functions as advertised. Clogging needs routine cleaning. Cartridge fits well. Takes time to be solid and stay in shape.

Best gift ever! My 7 year old grandson picked it up immediately, and was able to start by drawing a straight line, then a circle, and then realized he can put them together and do a beautiful bouquet of flowers with mixed colors! Imagination can run wild. If you can dream it, you can make it! Also, the battery length is sufficient, to be able to get through a small project before having to recharge. But it does recharge pretty quickly as well! Looking to buy a bigger doodle sheet, and glad that I bought the extra filaments to start with!

This is a great way for your imaginative child to spend their time! And if your child is looking to design things then this tool will give them many hours of happy memories and fun. It is safe and easy to use for children to create whatever they desire. It doesn’t get hot and it’s easy to use just inset the plastic stick and away you go! With so many different color options available children can be creative with the doodler all year long. I’m very impressed with this tool and its design it’s been a year since we got ours. And it has been great. The only issue is keeping up with the demand of refilling the wishlist for more colors!!

Love this thing. Works perfectly and the kids love it and use it often. Couldn’t be happier with this purchase. The heat is so low that you can touch the tip without pain but hot enough to get the plastic to that perfect viscosity. This pen has a great grip and makes it easy to 3D draw with kid hands and adult hands alike.

Great Christmas present. Easy to use for my 7 year old. Comes with plastic ready to use. The replacements can be pricey so shop around for alternatives. Inside the booklet there are pictures to trace. Colour is universal if you have a child that minds.
