TCMT Gauntlet Fairing & Bracket Mount Fit For Harley Sportster XL883 1200 88-up (Headlight Fairing & 39mm Trigger Mount)

The windshield itself is made decent. Time will tell how the mold holds up to elements. It does deflect the air motion pretty decently. I do get some buffeting on my helmet though. At least the air pressure on the chest is gone. Going 75 on the freeway in a headwind I felt like a bobblehead.The clamps on that hold the unit to the quick release isnt very good at all. Made out of cheap plastic. Do NOT rely on these clamps alone to keep it in place. On mine the pressure from the width of the forks allows it to pop off quite easily.USE ZIP TIES! I used 2 11" black zip ties on each side for reaasurance to make sure its tight on the quick release knobs on the clamps. The zip ties go through the backside of the bracket and around the fork rod. Used some pliers to get it tight as I could without snapping the plastic. I highly recommend doing this. So you dont have a whoopsie rolling down the highway or get hit with a string wind gust from nature or a semi.Like the overall look of it so far. Hopefully it holds up. For the cost I got what I paid for.

Very impressed with my purchase took it on the highway for 30 minutes no problems. Like the guy said on a earlier review you do have to use zip ties. After that it does not move or shift .

For the price I am very happy. We did do an adjust me because I wanted my lights cut out and it was VERY EASY to do. The install was simple! Very happy!

I did not install this fairing on the bike it was intended for (H-D Sportster, etc.). I put it on a 2009 Big Dog K9 Chopper so some modification was necessary to make it fit. It looks good and does break enough wind pressure from my head and chest to make my ride a little more comfortable but it’s not going to block all wind from hitting you. I plan to modify (trim it further) and change the pitch to be more upright which should make it even more effective. The one and only thing I didn’t like was the cheap aluminum fork clamps. They look like they are made of soft aluminum and look like they will break or strip very easily. I also had to line the fork clamps with thin foam tape because I was afraid they would scratch my fork tubes. It would be better if this came with quality “p” clamps instead but I understand why they came with the clamps they did because they are adjustable to different fork tube diameters. I will be upgrading this part. Otherwise it does what it’s supposed to and it looks good. Good deal for the $$$

Looks great on my 2020 Iron 883. A bit fiddly to get the mounting points just right, but it fits just fine. I zip tied around the quick release clamps, as they didn't seem very secure. Overall pretty good for the price.
