Gene Kelly: The Making of a Creative Legend

Great book even if you're not a Gene Kelly fan
The book was extremely enjoyable. It has interesting insights about Hollywood of the past, as well as quite revealing facts about the Red Scare and black lists by HUAC. Overall, as I said in the title, I would recommend it even if you're not considering yourself a fan of Gene Kelly. One nitpicking, though. This book overuses the word 'ironically' :) By the end of the reading it becomes quite annoying.Ironically, sometimes it's not even ironic. For example, I didn't find anything ironic in the fact that Gene Kelly almost died in a plane crash after finishing one of his best TV shows.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐'s for Gene Kelly
My Mom loves it. I gave it to her as a birthday present in October. He is one of her favorite actors, his movies and now his book.
