What can I say… you really do get what you pay for. At an amazing affordable price these are just fabulous. Razor Shape, great design and quality. I did order the wrong colour stand but for the price to change it was far too expensive but my fault and the colour actually works well. Heads up.. buy the bamboo chopping board as they recommend to use one which makes sense to protect the edges of the knife. 100% happy with them and would highly recommended anyone to buy them. Weight is good, easy to clean, but after every use, only had around a month so can’t comment on the durability yet.

Having had a number of knives with wooden handles and rivets that failed, leading to the handle coming apart I was looking for something with less parts to go wrong. with these knives the tines are set into the plastic handles and I can't see how they can come loose. The plastic is very comfortable and a very comfortable shape to hold. The steel is German rather than chinese and therefore a higher quality. I have had them nearly a year and they are still sharp and almost as new. Rinse under the tap when used, dry and put back in the block and they will stay in excellent condition, it really is as quick as putting them in the dishwasher (which will degrade them rapidly).

Although not cheap for a set of household kitchen knives I would still recommend these because if looked after properly they will last you for years. The knives feel comfortably solid and well balanced in the hand and really are sharp. Furthermore, they maintain their sharpness really well. I’m happy with this purchase and wouldn’t hesitate recommending them. One minor gripe is that after only a few weeks the Henckels sticker is coming off one of the knives but this is too minor to even cost it a star.

Not fully tested as these are a Christmas present but they seem very sharp, It did look like the box had been previously opened as it was torn around the tab and a lot of the box coating was damaged but the knives and block inside appeared undamaged. Time will tell if they are as good as the top reviews say. Not sure if all the knife compartments have a sharpening device . I can see on the 3 larger knife slots there appears to be a sharpener but not on the other slots. Quite pricey for the set but if they last then worth the cost.

Hike I like heavier knives, my wife prefers lighter knives. I have been a Henckels fan for more years than I care to remember, we needed a set of kitchen knives so there was only one option! I ordered this set and although they are too lightweight for my tastes, my wife loves then. I do keep my heavy Henckels chef knife handy in a drawer when my wife asks me to help with the cooking.

I have used Zwilling knives for over 20 years. After a recent upheaval I needed a new set so I bought the ZWILLING 35662-000-0 Professional "S" Knife block, 8 pcs again. After just 4 months the handle of the small paring knife was cracked. Following the Amazon help pages took me to the Zwilling custtomer services. After giving them the details of my purchase they came back immediately telling me it is Amazon's responsibilty, goodbye and "thank you for your understanding". Amazon, as usual came up trumps, accepted the exceptional return and will refund me in full. I can order a new knife set but, of course, it won't be Zwilling.
