Great Isolate but packaging needs work
The gym I used to go to sells Silver Star Nutrition products. I've been buying this product in both chocolate and vanilla for over a year. I was happy to find them on Amazon. This has become my favorite because this product seems easier on my stomach and has few additional ingredients. It's good by itself, just basic protein isolate. The vanilla makes a great base for smoothies. The chocolate is great when mixed with powdered peanut butter.Some other whey isolate products that come in 'flavors' like GNC cookies and cream or chocolate frosting are so ridiculously sweet, I find they are almost undrinkable. I used this product to 'cut' those other products to make them palatable rather than simply throwing them in the trash.My only complaint about this product is the packaging. It comes in a pouch with a resealable ziplock closure. EVERY SINGLE bag I've purchased, the zip closure fails before the product is used up. The closure becomes detached from one side of the bag so you can't close it. I either use a chip clip or transfer it to another container. The latest pouch was like this as soon as I opened it.Made in Wisconsin!
