Inspiring Words Coloring Book: 30 Verses from the Bible You Can Color

Inspiring Words is another Scripture Coloring book I purchased to share with my grandmother. A retired Sunday school teacher. One of the things that drew me to this coloring book was that it was published by Zondervan They are the only Bible publisher my grandmother would buy a Bible ftom.When it arrived I was very impressed with the craftsmanship they put into this book. Well worth the price. I was excited to take it into the hospital and surprise her with it . she was delighted with it. We both would highly recommend it to others who looking for a Scripture Coloring book that you can fuse Gel pens and markers on, without bleeding or warping of paper.

The media could not be loaded.  The Scriptures used in the 30 designs in this book are based on the New International Version (NIV). The designs focus on the Bible verse and the design around it is not necessarily applicable to the verse. Verses are taken from both the Old and New Testament. The words are very artistically set within the page and use various fonts to give each design its own special look. The design elements all look like they will be fun to color without too many intricate and small areas that might prove too challenging. There are many flowers, hearts, even a lion, as well as many other elements.I am really pleased with the verses which were chosen for this book. Amongst them are some of my favorites albeit in a different translation than the one I used for my memory work as a child. Regardless of the translation, they still speak to my spirit and coloring them will be a time of mediation on the words as well as a time of resting of my mind from the day's problems. I find that the title is apt as I found myself feeling inspired and renewed after reading through the book.The designs are printed on one side of the page only. The pages are not perforated but do include a cutting line for your use if you choose to remove a page from the book. The designs all stop at the cutting line, so you will not lose any part of the design if you do cut it out. The binding seems to be both sewn and glued in. The stitching seems to be from front to back instead of through several pages but I also see evidence of glue, too.I was able to bend the binding enough to get the book to lay flat, so I will probably not be removing the pages from the book. I like having them all together but with a little work you can remove the page if you want to frame the finished design – I do suggest doing so before you color it so you will not take a chance on tearing or damaging your finished picture.I had mixed results when it came to coloring with markers in this book. The only ones that consistently did not leak through were my Staedler triplus fineliners. My Tombows dual brush did not leak when I used the brush end but did with the marker end. All other markers – both water and alcohol-based leaked through. My gel pens did not leak through but needed extra drying time. My various coloring pencils all worked well. Whatever coloring tools you decide to use, you can put a heavyweight page below the page you are working on to keep ink from leaking through to the next design.

I like this okay- the design fully covers the page so there's lots to color, they are one design per page which is good, too. My markers; gel pens and Stabilio do bleed through a bit. Colored pencils work nicely though. I would like more variety in the placement of the Scripture verse -but I'm coloring, praying and memorizing Scripture at the same time and that's what I was looking for. It helps to clear the clutter from my head. Hopefully, there will be anothe rbook in the future

This coloring book has beautiful pictures and I framed alot off them my friend bought one for herself!

This was exactly what I wanted. It was ordered as a gift for an elderly lady and the words are easier to read and color with a few intricate designs around the outside of the pages so it is still an adult coloring book without being overwhelming.

I like the verses, and the prints/designs on the paper. I wish the paper was a bit thicker so my markers would not run through. I did expect that to be an issue, so I am not disappointed or surprised by the product. I do like how they make it easy to remove the pages from the book for easier coloring. Great item and would make a fantastic gift!!

My mom enjoys Christian inspired coloring books. The first one I gave her had spiral binding at the top so she always had a flat page to work on. This one is bound like our old children's coloring books. It never lies flat so she struggles a bit with it. The pages are nice but I won't buy her another one without spiral binding.

Each page is one sided and is perforated so you can easily remove it. Out of all of the Bible verse coloring books, this one in my opinion, has the best options for verses and designs. If you are trying to decide, I can save you time by telling you to just go with this book. I also got this for a few people for Christmas gifts for various ages from teen to adult and they were all received very well.

Absolutely love this book. The pages are thick and there is next to 0 bleed. The tiny bit at the top was because of my felt pen leaked.I have zero complaints. The colouring book has simple designs which is very calming for me, not too many tiny, fiddly bits.Love love love this book.

Nice size and nicely delivered. No damage. Simple and encouraging...I looked through a lot of christian colouring books before picking this one and I dont regret it

It's good to have scriptures and pictures for adults to color. It's good therapy. Nice and relaxing.
