Q: Will these work even though I have used 225 ft-lbs impact driver without any luck?

These are really meant to grab on to rounded-off nuts & bolts, where your impact socket just spins on the lug without loosening it. If your 225 ft-lb impact just hammers away and doesn’t spin the socket, these aren’t going to help. You’ll need to soak ‘em PB Blaster, get a long cheater bar, or put a lot of heat on those lugs to break the corrosion hold. Or a combo of those.

Q: Where are these made?

Not sure. For what it's worth, they work. In the end, that's what matters. Very hardened metal.

I did use both 1/2" & 13mm socket on rounded and rusted 15 year old rear differential cover bolts. Removed 10, failed on 4. Those 2 sockets are probably not functional now, but was worth it to remove the 10.
