Nataraj Bold Dark Writing 10 Pencils Box With One Eraser Or Sharpener Free

Best pencils ever!!!

At the time of purchase, these pencils were approximately $5 for a box of 10 including eraser and sharpener. The lead is strong, smooth and dense, leaving marks that are on the dark side of HB. These pencils no longer use the vatta wood that was employed previously, for better or for worse. The finish is attractive and nicely done, similar in quality to Staedtler. The sharpener easily gives a nice clean result, although it is not a long point. On my experience Hindustan sharpeners tend to wear out somewhat quickly over time, so I'll update this review if it stops working. The eraser is decent, not top of the line but definitely adequate for my writing needs, and it definitely does not leave any dust. The eraser sleeve is also perforated once around so when it gets partially used up, you can shorten the sleeve. Overall, while nothing really flashy, these pencils are made with a quality and attention to detail worthy of imitation. For the price, you can't go wrong!

I love these pencils as I used them when I was kids, so just want this for my kid, she loves them and these pencils tip doesn't not brake, Grip is so good, you can erase it proper.

As a child, I didn't give pencils much thought. These, however, are worthy of consideration if you are looking for a quality, smooth writing dark pencil that holds a point better than a softer 2B or 4B lead would. While they are not a commodity pencil, the price is low enough for experimenting with if that's your thing. The included sharpener is good, I have not tried the eraser.

The Nataraj HB's are really quite nice. Quite comparable to the Apsara's that I left an mistaken rating for. Actually, i like the Nataraj pencils a tad bit better and they too, come with a sharpener and eraser. All that and these pencils are exceptional looking!

I purchased these pencils wanting a darker, softer lead. However, these seem to be like any regular pencil (US made). I thought that 'no eraser' on top would work for me, but I had to keep adding the separately purchased eraser tips. No big deal, but just an added step. I gave it a 2 because I felt, there was no difference between US made and these pencils.
