A Fine Addition to the Ranks of Lancaster Books
A fine addition to the lexicon of the Lancaster, specifically dealing with tis use in the Post-War era, not only by the British, but the French and Canadians amongst others. Author Martin Derry (not Neil Robinson, though he is a contributor) does a fine job with the text and there is a very nice selection of photos. This is backed up with a very nice section on modelling the post-war Lanc. Recommended!

Food for modellers' thought
I have bought the Shipcraft books in the past to help with modelling projects and this book is the aviation equivalent.I had high expectations of this book given the name Neil Robinson. I recall his time as editor of Scale Aircraft Modelling as his knowledge on aviation is well known. The book itself is a really good analysis of the Lancaster in post war service with the RAF and other air arms. The book starts with details of the plane's development and then moves on to post war use. Like it's naval equivalent the book then moves on to details of kits and accessories. Very useful indeed.I really like the colour profiles in the middle of the book. A nice selection of colourful aircraft which will whet your appetite. The French Aéronavale are really interesting. All in all a really good book which has something for both the aviation fan and modellers. I think I may well be buying more in the series.

Excellent Historical Record - Also Great For Model Makers
This is an brilliant reference book with lots of archive shots (both colour and b&w), many of which I'd not seen before. There is plenty of detail devoted to maratime operations which the Lancaster was deployed in with the RAF, RCAF, and French airforce after the war before specific aircraft like the Shackleton were introduced. There are A4 colour profiles showing unusual or little known variants and colour schemes, plus details of model builds of post war variants adapted from mainstream kits.

This will be a great addition to my book shelf
This will be a great addition to my book shelf. I am currently making a model of a post war Canadian Lancaster and after a quick look through I feel that there is good information that will help.
