I have used ASP products for a long time. I have had a palm defender for about 8 years now. I changed out the "heat" cartridge earlier this month. The expiration date was OCT 2019, so I got a new one. I never test the new inserts as the burst is too small, do not care to waste product. So as I was changing it out, I decided to fire off the insert I had, the one that should have been good through OCT 2019. It came out as a trickle, no spray whatsoever. Not sure how long this condition existed as the inserts are normally good for around 2 years. Sad to think if I needed this thing, it would have failed.

Don't waste your money
After inserting the refill in the defender canister, the solution came out the top. Might as well purchase a whole new unit vs purchasing a refill. Solution went everywhere.

Expires in 7 months
The insert I just received has an expiry date 7 months from now. Would have like to have some faith that the spray would be effective for more than a few months. A larger MACE container I also picked up is good for ~3 more years.

Picture Shows 2 only got 1
The picture shows two refills, but I only received one. Otherwise the product is as advertised

Worth the money
Really like the product and the company is easy to work with. Just replaced one of my canisters that I have had for ten years. I tested it after I got this replacement and it was still good after all that time. Great product.
