Gardner's Art through the Ages: The Western Perspective, Volume I (MindTap Course List)

"Gardner has been replaced...
Sadly the book originally written by a WOMAN, Helen Gardner, in 1926, no longer bears her name as even contributing author. This is not surprising upon consuming this wretched propaganda. It is in actuality a redundant and misogynistic collection of CHRISTIAN art. This book is not ART Through The Ages, A Western Perspective, but Christian progression through the ages. There is ONLY reference to Islamic art in that it impacted Byzantine art. Other than that it is entirely Christian / Greco Roman. It's as if Europe did not exist at all until the Greco-Roman pedophile cult of Rome forced conversions on the Pagan natives. Will we ever acknowledge the amazing brilliant quality art produced by Pagan and Indigenous Shamanistic cultures in WESTERN Europe at the same time Greeks were molesting young boys? Must we continue to force the twisted Greco-Roman Judeo-Christian lies and mythologies on the entire western world? I hate this book. Not only is it ethnocentric, religiously biased, and culturally vacant, it is of course grossly sexist. As the removal of the original author from her status predicts, the book ignores entirely half the planet, the half with vaginas. Again, I hate this shallow one dimensional blithering boring propaganda. It is morally unethical to wrap religious agenda and proselytization into an purportedly "academic" (it is not) text. Tell your professors to STOP USING THIS TRASH!

Horrible on Mobile Device
This book is not mean to be read on a mobile device. It isn't formatted for Mobile and is very very difficult to read on a mobile device. Why sell the electronic copy if it's not formatted for such devices???

Great book
This book was great for my Art History class, the difference between the 12th and 13th edition is very small. The money i saved by buying this book on amazon was very substantial.
