what a legend
Many facts about her life are included. I thoroughly enjoyed learning more about this female phenomena. Can’t wait to listen to more of her songs and rewatch many of her movies.

Ok, But Nothing Special
This review is concerning the Kindle and audiobook that I purchased. I state that because I see reviews about a pamphlet. This kindle / audiobook is an adequate, brief biographical sketch of the life of Doris Day. I suppose I have to say that it is what it purports to be; a brief overview. There is really nothing wrong with this. I think as a fan, speaking only for myself, I learned very little. The experience may be very different for someone who knows little about Doris Day. There is a bibliography at the end of the kindle edition that might be of value to an individual who wishes to study further. There is really nothing wrong with this product, just don’t spend too much money for it. Thank You…

Factual...high lights of a Super Star
A short little book offering a taste of the story of a successful woman who made it big in Show Biz. The book leaves you want a more in depth bio of this talented lady.Read it as a starter to delving into the World of Hollywood from the 30s through the remainder of the 20th century.

An American Treasure
I grew up in the late 1950's and earlier 1960's and I remember some of Doris Day's songs and movies. This was a quick way to show you the artist and her wide range of talent. Plus I loved her work with animals. I recommend this book as a quick catch up and a great read.

Enjoyable
Succinct and fact filled. I enjoyed the chronological clarity. The insertions of simple lyrics from a few songs fit nicely and evoked special feeling. My only criticism is the typos and awkward writing, especially from "editors."

Once over lightly A brief
A brief biography of Doris Day. Third Charles River book I read. I wish they would "edit" more carefully. Multiple typos in each book.

Oh how I just loved Doris Day
Oh how I just loved Doris Day. I probably saw almost all of her films baxk in the 50"s when I was in Jr. High and High School. It just amazed me how these young girls of that time could have beautiful NY city apartments, go to work at their office jobs and could still afford the gorgeous clothes they wore. After college I took an office job in Richmond, VA. where my salary was $200 a month and I could barely afford to eat. I think I got a raise to $210 a month and went to the movies once a week. But still, there she was perky, beautiful and talented - so talented. She's about 10 years older than I and I don't kow if she's still alive but I did so admire her.The book was poorly written, clumsy in its grammar and probably realistic but how could she get herself into so many bad marriages? It was a short read and skimmed over her life. I had hoped for more in depth knowledge. I won't buy any of the other American Legends books. Too little, too late.

I enjoyed The life of Doris Day although this one was a little too short. I have been enjoying these biographies of some of my favorite stars. I loved the Walt Disney one too! I probably saw almost everyone of Doris Day's movies and loved her voice. It was interesting to read about her personal life....a lot of which I didn't know.

Abysmal value - only 36 pages andpPage info buried deep on Amazon page.
Very poor value for money. I did not realise that it was only 36 pages until checking after delivery. A complete rip off by author and seller.Very brief biographical details and could not, in all honesty, be called a biography in the accepted sense of the term.I will not be using this seller again and will check more carefully in future.

NOT a good gift
More like a pamphlet than a book, and arrived bent. Not giftworthy (as hoped/expected) in either respect :(

A disappointment
My fault really should have read the details more but this book is little more than a pamphlet sent it back straight away with no problem from seller.
