Beautiful love story about a young man who falls in love with a woman who lives someone else. She doesn't know this so she considers him a friend. But then she dies because of an accident but not before giving birth to her husband's child. The husband also died in the same accident before she gave birth so the child is brought up in his house in India but he goes back to London the girl grows up and fall in love with the young man who is now in his forties but he still love her mother who never loved him after many trials the young woman wins his heart and they live happily ever after

This Sridevi's movie has so many layers and complexities but still simply narrated by the legend Yash Chopra.Sridevi lived both characters with ease. The audience can feel her rage, her pain, her love for her "Kuwar Ji" :)

I love this beautiful tender love story, and the Music is enchanting, the Actors are special, and make this story seem so real, I am so glad that I bought it, if you like old fashioned Indian love stories then this is the DVD for you

Worth watching it for Anil Kapoor's dual roles - as the younger Kunwar and as the elder Kunwarji.Sridevi shows her versatility as usual.

It was good but the DVD case came to me broken; otherwise everything else was okay.

Unconvention storry and narration, great performances by Sridevi and Anil Kapoor. Except "Choodiyaan Khanak Gayee" and "Ye Lamhe", songs are okay okay!

Schöner alter Film aus Bollywood, hatte schon vor langer Zeit auch meinem Papa gefallen.Kann ich nur empfehlen. Tolle Bilder, starke Musik.

Lamhe is Yash Chopra at his emotional best, Anil Kapoor at his regal best, Anupam Kher at his humorous best, Waheeda Rehman at her vintage best.....and SRIDEVI? Well suffice to say that Sridevi was created by God for the sole purpose of playing Pallavi and Pooja. No, she does not play...she lives both the parts in the way only she could have. Sheer magic this one! And the DVD only makes you watch it over and over again. Great extras with Lamhe's Mahurat footage, Star studded premiere, trophy ceremony and Chopra in conversation with Karan Johar about the making of this masterpiece. Go for it.

An 'oldie but a goodie'!This film is a good introduction to the 'Bollywood' film genre.The Hindi film industry is the most productive on the planet, churning out over 700 films annually. The films are usually a wonderful melange of drama, bathos and pathos-all mixed with a sprinkling of music and dance.A savage fight scene will break off for a song and dance number.Overblown, stagey and just plain wonderful!'Lamhe' is the story of unrequited love. Anil Kapoor gives his usual 'value for money' performance and Sridevi overacts in the traditional Bollywood actress manner.Still, watch it for the dated clothes,the great songs and the fantastic jewellry and costumes.
