I desperately needed new ear pads for my Sony Gold headphones. As you can see in the picture above, they started to peel and flake over time, leaving little black flakes everywhere. The new ones listed here are shown below my headphones.Installation is simple - you basically grab the ear cup in one hand and the ear pad in the other hand and twist them apart. As you can see in the second picture, little plastic latches need to slide in place. The ear pads will only go on one way, so it's as simple as lining them up and twisting the new ones in place.The left pad fit tighter than the right one, but I'm not sure where the fault lies, and it wasn't much of an issue anyways. The new ear pads stay put and look just like the original for the most part. The overall quality of the material seems okay, but not as good as the original Sony pads. However they are just as comfortable and I have no issues while using them. My only one complaint is that they do stick out just a little bit in certain areas, meaning that the ear pads are not 100% flush with the ear cups all the way around. This is a minor complaint, as I am only talking about maybe 1/16th of an inch in places, but it can be noticeable.The bottom-line is that they fit, they are easy to install, and they are as comfortable as the original ones. However I would only recommend these to replace damaged ear pads as they offer nothing over the original ear pads in good condition.
