This is a top quality slicer! It's easy to use & store and the metal "teeth" go through the eggs like butter.UPDATE: Unfortunately, after a year, the coating was peeling off and starting to rust and it was getting tough to completely clean. Although there wasn't anything wrong with the way this slicer performed, I wouldn't expect to get more than a year or so out of it.

This slicer works great. The advantage of using it instead of a regular kitchen knife is that it cuts both yellow and white parts in equal sizes. The wires are sharp enough to cut boiled eggs without squishing them. It cleans easily, looks durable and sturdy. The plastic loop is a nice touch. It keeps the handles together and makes it easy to store.My wife makes egg sandwiches often as a breakfast. She says it is a time saver. Now she just smiles when I remind her that she initially thought I "wasted money again" on a fancy new tool!

I have a much older Westmark Egg Slicer which is still in great condition works just the way it should. Use it often and also have used it on strawberries, but I do not think I would use it on Mushrooms. The new Westmark Egg Slicer was purchased as a gift and the couple that received it love it.

Just like my mom used when we were kids. Nothing dices eggs for egg salad more efficiently than this tool!
