Pelican Products Progear Elite Cooler, 150 Quart

I have never seen a cooler this heavy duty. Lifting by yourself when empty is possible. When full, not so much. This thing is build like a tank. I did have some quality control issues with the lid. I actually ordered two of these. One fit flush the other didn't. Pelican didn't really work with me that much. They offered to send me new latches and hardware, but the problem was actually with the construction of the lid. Ended up exchanging it through amazon.I used this over the Thanksgiving holiday. Had temps ranging from 30-70 degrees during that time and I still have the same ice in there almost a month later. It is mostly water( very cold water) but there is still quite a bit of ice.

Hugh, Big, Gigantic, this puppy is BIG. takes two people to move it when it's loaded. I should have looked more closely at the dimensions. not anybody's fault but my own.now as far as the cooler itself. well made with great latches that are easy to open even with gloves. I love how sturdy it's built no problem with standing on it or resting heavy gear on the lid. holds two twenty pound bags of ice for over five days in the summer no sweat.worth the extra money with it's lifetime no hassle guaranteeif you want a HUGH cooler that will keep your stuff cold spend a few extra dollars you'll be glad you did.

Bought the big - Peli for hunting and an occasional big ice bucket for parties at the house. Worked perfectly for 4 years. Then the lid began to bow. Such that the center buckle broke. Opened a claim with Pelican under their Lifetime Warranty. Looking forward to taking this to Utah and Idaho this fall.

This thing is a beast! Rock stolid everything just like all Pelican cases. Will be taking it to Wyoming in October for a Mule Deer hunt so I don't expect it's ability to keep things cold for a week or more to really be tested due to the likelihood of it being fairly cold outside. That test will come on the drive back to Arizona but it shouldn't be a problem keeping ice in it for 7 or more days, especially when using dry ice. I can't wait to use it. Just make sure you have a friend to help move it, I'm a bigger guy so for me it's moveable by one person with a good wing span when empty but for the average person it will take two people, especially with anything in it.As a note the 150 Quart cooler has three latches across the front and two points for locks, the picture for this shows a smaller cooler.If you need a cooler that will keep things cold longer than any other cooler and is better build and more secure this is the one to get, you won't be disappointed!

This thing is a beast. Very well made and fairly overbuilt. I put the cooler in the garage with 4 seven lb bags of ice on the bottom. 2 case of beer, 2 cases of soda pop, 2 cases of water. All drinks were prechilled in the refrigerator. And 4 more 7 lb bags of ice on top. We entertained guests one night and after all was said and done, 3 weeks later I went to empty it and clean it. IT STILL HAD ICE IN IT! And the remaining drinks were ice cold. The average temperature of the garage is not real warm but about 55 to 60 degrees. AMAZING performance. It does however take 2 able bodies to move it when loaded though.

The first order got lost, however this order got to us exactly when promised. The color is not the correct, we expected a deep purple yet received a pinkish colored one. The cooler is much bigger than we thought.

I was shocked when I pulled up to my house last night and saw a giant box next to my stoop. I own a smaller coleman cooler that's never big enough, so I went for the 150qt when buying my first "extreme" cooler...it is BIG.The 150qt is definately a two person job when it needs to be moved, and be aware, unless you have a full-size pick up or large SUV (not one of those little fake SUVs), you will not be able to bring this cooler around with you. Between the 150qt size, and the 2+ inches of insulation on top, bottom, and sides, this thing is a monster.A real man's proffessional grade cooler - Can't wait to put it to the test!
