... pilates magic circle DVD (Windsor Advanced) - which I LOVE, but needed to mix it up
I purchased this DVD because I was getting a little tired of my usual pilates magic circle DVD (Windsor Advanced) - which I LOVE, but needed to mix it up. I purchased the Stott Circle pro which is amazing so I figured I might as well try one of their DVDs, and was curious to see if there were other uses for the circle. Well, let's just say this DVD absolutely delivers on using the circle in new and non-traditional ways. You put it behind your head, over your legs, cross arms over it, do push ups using it, and more. I have to admit the first time I used this DVD it was a shock and somewhat difficult to adjust to, since usually the circle is used to assist or enhance traditional pilates moves. This one sometimes builds new moves around the circle. But after a few times using the DVD it becomes easier to follow and use with the circle, and I enjoy the workout. The instructor moves at a quick but doable pace, and explains and demonstrates well (I don't agree with the comment below that she's monotone!). It's probably not for beginners - the Windsor Advanced is a breeze for me and this one is a challenge. I recommend this DVD to people who want to change up their practice with the circle.

Wanted more arm work
It was ok, I expected it to be better fromthis company. I have a lot of their of their videos. I love them all but this one is just ok

Think Winsor....
I have worked out to Mari Winsor pilates religiously for the past 6 months & I decided to purchase Stott Pilates to change up my routine. The difficulty is there in it's akwardness?! but,..... I grew bored listening to the mono-tone voice hostess. Try to stay awake! I don't like to write bad reviews - I've just decided to return any other Stott Pilates DVD - & stick w/ Mari. Sorry Stott.
