This will do the job but had a couple of issues. The rule is stamped out of very thin metal and the edges are like razors. I ran the shaft of a screwdriver along the edges to take the burr off which did the job. You get what you pay for unfortunately and it really shows here. Metal too thin and dangerously sharp edges. It will do the job it is intended for though. So 3 stars. 5 if the QA was better and metal thicker. Unfortunately Amazon display a mercenary approach to making money and, on evidence, allow poor and dangerous goods to be sold on it's platform without any conscience of the harm it may bring to the consumer. I'm becoming increasingly disillusioned with Amazon and am actively looking for alternative suppliers I can trust. Not that Amazon will give 2 hoots about my opinion.

It's a piece of metal, it functions fine - but if you, like me, have a tendency to fiddle with things around you, don't leave this ruler out in the open. I have cut myself on this thing like three or four times now, and I'm currently sitting with a blood-soaked plaster on my finger.Like seriously - I keep a knife on my desk, and it has cut me less than this little bastard. I'm like one accident away from handing it in as an offensive weapon at the nearest police station.

I’ve not used it yet but it looks good I will be using it to set all the strings on the guitar easy to read as well

great little tool ,much better than messing about with a ruler ,very accurate .made the job of lowering my acoustic guitar action much easier.

Gets the job done, can also be used as a knife as the sides are razor sharp! Deffo would not leave on the sofa for example.

I needed a margin free measure and this does the trick.
