While this item"works" it is very noisy, like the disc is rubbing on the inside of the case. It is okay, but honestly not what I expected. I would have been even more disappointed if I had paid the original list price of $89-$99. It functions, but with the noise, it won't be used often, or in the capacity I originally purchased it for, and that is watching movies.

Using this with my MacBook Air, every software install CD I tried to run using this device would give an error. Every time I received an error that the software was counterfeit. Funny, because it was all software purchased directly from Adobe. I then borrowed my daughter's external Apple CD drive and had absolutely no problems running the same software install CDs.

Worked great to install CD Software, but it didn't play DVDs

Device worked great. Other comments stated they couldn't write a DVD only CD's. This was not true for me. I had no problem writing over blank DVD's

It stopped working after about a month. Even when it worked, it seemed to be noisy and struggling.

Does a great job. Love the slim profile. Wish the cable was longer

it's a little noisy but gets the job done. i even spilled coffee all over it and it's still working. love it!

Good product from a quality/price ratio. A little bit noisy but works and goes very well with my Surface Pro.
