Older model but great for my 2004 Pontiac.
When I had to replace my original factory CD player, I picked JVC based on the fact that they have been around for a while plus the price, and I was not disappointed. Install was easy (I used heat shrink connectors and a separate wiring harness) and the sound quality is amazing, even the pre-set equalizer settings. My radio still doesn't work, but I may have hooked up a wrong wire, or I may need an extension adapter for the antennae input (I haven't pulled it apart to check yet). The display color (red) is a great match to the interior display of my 2004 Pontiac.

Great, powerful unit! Go JVC!
Great, powerful unit. Great unit for the price. Paired up nicely with my 4 Alpine 5×8 door speakers through a 75W booster. Paired up nicely with my Crunch amp and 2- 8" Pioneer subs. Hits really hard. Once you get the sound "tweeked" in , it's good to go. JVC is a great brand, I don't care what anyone says. USB port is really cool. CD's sound good, better than aux & usb. Go JVC!

Lots of features, Good stereo for the price.
Works great, was easy to install. My only gripe is the tiny buttons and even tinier text. It is not user intuitive. You'll need to read the manual to figure out what the buttons do (or what the symbols mean). As with everything nowadays, there are multiple functions on the buttons and dial so it takes a while to get up to speed on using all the functions. Good sound and everything worked as it should.

Great value and quality
Great value. Excellent sound with alot of options on the equalizer to get the sound you want. Simple with quality. Only complaint is lack of radio preset bands. Either 1 fm and 1 am or 2 fm. Has auxiliary port for phone/mp3 but lacks usb which is ok. Again great for the price if you're just looking to replace a failing factory unit.

Great simple stereo
If you dont need a touch screen stereo, go with this one. Easy to install and sounds great. No buzzing in speakers.

A few issues, but gets the job done.
Easy to install. Just remember to buy a wiring harness (if your car requires it) and a mounting kit. I bought this stereo for the AUX port so I could listen to music on my iPhone. The AUX port works. The sound begins clipping and distorting, at least when listening to CDs, when you get the volume to about 30. This is a drawback. The user interface is decent, but could be better. Finding a radio station is actually quite difficult. The default setting isn’t simply scrolling through each frequency. You kind of have to press a button that launches into a very fast scan through the stations, and then press again in hopes that you land on your station. I think that there might be a way around this, but I’m not sure. Regardless, it’s not very intuitive. Also, making a custom EQ setting isn’t intuitive either. It’s more than just selecting “user” and then playing with the frequencies. I still have to read the manual to figure this one out. Also, the dimmer isn’t automatic. Despite the fact that it’s wired to the headlights, I still have to manually dim the radio lights at night (and every time you re-start the car). Otherwise, the LEDs are red and look pretty cool. Overall, it gets the job done.

I've used it for the past several months now
It was kind of a pain to install, but that was b/c I was installing into an old truck--so the instructions for this were worthless to me. Once I figured out how to install it, though, it works perfectly--and I'm very happy with the quality of how it was made and with the sound quality for the money!

Solid stereo for the price!
This is a great stereo, I put it in a 2001 Grand Cherokee Limited with no problems at all, install took about 1 hour and turned on the second I was done. This radio does not change colors which to some might be a buzz kill but the red looks just fine for me. Definitely recommend.

When I first installed it worked great, after 5 min it got so hot it shut itself off. I thought it was a defective radio so I returned it. I had no problem getting a new one. Amazon was great. The new one did the exact same thing. It turned out I had a defective speaker. It was grounding out. After installing new speakers the system worked great. It was so easy to get a replacement even though there was nothing wrong with the unit. Thanks Amazon.

this deck is great value.. the EQ is nice... CD player reads discs great... aux sounds good only thing its lacking is bluetooth but for what I was replacing it wasn't a deal breaker... this deck has some power and clean sound deff gonna consider it again... recommend soldering or using butt connectors tho don't be cheap the harness is thin.

Very happy with it. If your not a professional installer the wording for the wiring can confuse you for the remote wire but figured it out eventually. Great price too
