Island GrillstoneRound

Bought this for my husband for Father's Day. He loves it. They arrived quickly; the shipping packaging was well protected. The stones need to be seasoned similar to a cast iron before using them for the first time. The only drawback is that I thought I was going to be able to use them both in the oven in the house, and on the grill outside. The pamphlet inside of the box says that they will not work in an oven. That would have been nice to know ahead of time, but I would have bought it anyway. We bought one round one and one square one. We've been using the round one on the kitchen table as a serving hot plate, and the square one on the grill outside. My husband's future nephew in law will not eat anything cooked on them though. He considers it bad juju, because it's Hawaiian lava. Apparently, there's some thing that says you aren't supposed to take Hawaiian lava off of the islands, and he grew up there.

As pizza stones go this one is great! Heavy but great!! Holds heat well and cooks a mean pizza!!

Although we have made some pretty tasty dishes on the grillstone, I was disappointed that it cracked so fast. It's still usable, but cracking after only 2 uses?

Great packaging and would order again if needed. I was surprised that it really worked for cooking things slower and more evenly.

Chicken and fish fantastic

It cracked the second time I used it. I was careful to let it heat up slowly as the instructions required, but it didn't make any difference.

This is my second Grill stone....I love them both.....

Best Quality Grill Stone . I have owned a few of these and this one is thicker and more porous than others .Well worth the prices

seems to not hold/get hot enough for searing.however excellant as heat deflector, no flare ups.

Anything from vege to steak is cooked very well. Hardly burn. Taste is better too. I love it. I would never BBQ w/o it.
