Really!?!?
Ok, I never have given a 1 star before! The company is good I guess not much interaction with them. The first Ideapad Flex 5 I bought was delivered in late June a week earlier than expected- GREAT! Started using the computer, love it! The fifth day of using it statred like this: lift the screen, keyboard is on even though I completely shut it down the night before. Then the black screen comes up, press any key to continue. The computer is working. Then the camera app disappears, I find this out as I am logging on to a zoom class. No audio either! It worked the day before! After trying to work with Lenovo, I sent it back to seller got a refund - all good there. Then thinking surely this was a fluke I bought it again from the seller. Last night i pressed shut down, it went to restart. Waited for it to restart then pressed shutdown-it worked, closed the screen. This morning opened the screen and that is where I started this review. 2 computers exhibiting the same symptoms. Weird does not even come close! Not sure who, what is the culprit. The company has lived up to purchased and return policy but think I won't be ordering a third computer from them.

Yes
My review may be a bit generous because last time I bought a new laptop was 2010. After 4 months, I can say In terms of power, it’s awesome for the price. Unless you do major processing tasks, it eats anything you give it. Battery life averages about 9-10 hours browsing or typing, doodling with pen, etc, great in my book. Screen is decent and is 1080 with touch screen. It’s very reflective and if it weren’t for the fact it cans with a pen, I’d have put a matte protector on it. Brightness, however, leaves a lot to be desired. You’ll need to put a matte protector on if you’re frequently using it by windows, and forget about outdoors. Otherwise, very versatile and can even do light gaming like TF2, Minecraft, Gemcraft, Oxygen not Included, etc. my only gripe is I have to go deep into the settings in both windows power mgr and Radeon panel to switch from power savings to performance for any sort of video playback. 1080p, 240p, it doesn’t matter, It WILL stutter annoyingly otherwise, and if I leave it on performance battery life drops to about 5-6. So I kinda have to meter things back and forth. All in all, 4/5. Tweak the power settings to fit into one click like a profile setting and make the screen brighter, and it would easily be a 5/5. Oh, almost forgot, last gripe is the fingerprint reader just won’t work if plugged in. It will recognize nothing but magically work if you unplug the power adapter.

This is a fantastic 2 in 1 for everyday use.
So far this computer has been excellent. It handles multiple applications well and has good screen and sound quality. Typing is easy and the keyboard has great feel. Aesthetics are also great, it’s a sleek, lightweight laptop that’s great for everyday carry. It’s handling online classes, movies and light coding very well. The Ryzen processor is great this is my first experience with them and I’m very impressed. The accessories are nice to start off with but will eventually upgrade the mouse.

Product defective
This is my second order of a computer form Amazon which was defective. As someone who lives outside of the US it is not always easy to ship for return. Noe of the features for which I bought the laptop work. There is no touch screen at first we thought it wasn't configured correctly, when it flips into tablet mode nothing works. Although vexing and extremely annoying I continued working but now the battery has begun to drain very quickly. I do not recommend

Great unit, restores ThinkPad line, plastic screen cover disappointing
This is a well-designed product and brings lenovo's ThinkPad line back to close to its former high-quality specifications. I was disappointed by the plastic screen cover rather than having a glass touch screen. Also my unit came with a stylus and I think Lenovo added the styluses and afterthought because they didn't put a place to store the stylus except for this flimsy plastic bracket that you have to place in the USB port which blocks all of the ports and will undoubtedly snap off the port on the inside or break off in the port. Other than that it is a great unit I bought one with expanded specs and it was delivered in original packaging and as promised specifications. It does have a camera privacy shutter which is nice it can be a little bit difficult to slide but it's great that it's there. The unit is fast with the Ryzen processor that I chose. I am looking forward to many years of service from this unit. The screen is extremely thin as is the structure and frame of the body of the unit and so it is very lightweight and is like holding a thick tablet of paper. I am really pleased with this unit so far!

Quit working with less then 6month use.
Purchased on 07/27/20. Received a few days later. Worked great at first. Then quit working a week ago for no reason after doing last update. No power to laptop. Power supply works fine. Just crapped out. I tried contacting seller what could be done if anything but I received no response. I won't purchase this brand again.

Extremely good deal
I have been using a MacBook for the last decade, and was hesitant to switch back to PC. I still do miss retina display, but now that we are in the middle of a pandemic and I don't need portability, just performance, this was a no brainer. I was actually able to sell my two-year-old MacBook Air for the same price as this laptop and effectively got it for free. I haven't used the touchpad option much (almost exclusively on my home workstation) so cannot vouch for that. I do think the keys stick a little bit, and the mousepad is not as good as the Mac, but again, I am almost always on an USB keyboard and mouse these days so no complaints. The little time I am not plugged in to an outlet I have been very impressed with the battery as well. If you're like me and you are mostly working with in-browser apps and services, you'll really find that "switching" to a PC is very very smooth.
