Perfect fit, no complaints
02 ext cab Silverado 1500 z71.Fit identical to OEM light. Foam gasket provided was adequately thick and compressed well, I don’t anticipate any leakage. Came with small rubber gaskets to seal the screws as well. A resistor is prewired into the light so the lower amps of the LED won’t affect the cruise control. The light works great and is much brighter than the OEM halogen lights. Even looks nice during the day as the chrome reflectors for the cargo lamps really glisten in the sun. Definitely a nice little touch to an older truck.

Good product
Brake light bulb burned out. Upgraded to the LED. Easy to install, cargo lamp MUCH brighter. Before and after pictures shown. I did go with the Ruxifey thicker gasket.

By design is not water tight...
This brake light possibly has a design issue that can lead to a leak. The outer plastic shell needs to be sealed correctly, just like the factory one. If you order one, look at the outer plastic shell that covers the assembly. It separates around the edge and then allows water into the inner part of the light. I will try it briefly. Putting silicone on it should not be the solution if recommended. I poured a bucket of water onto the brake light directly and then noticed the condensation form. From other reviews, I used the MOFORKIT gasket instead of the Tresound one to seal against the truck cab. The metal clips do not click, though the gasket seems to seal. At this time, when the water went on, no water made it inside the cab, which is good. However, the outer plastic shell could let water inside over time and go through the LED assembly into the cab. I will monitor the brake light to see if it holds water. It potentially creates electrical issues. So approach with caution. I will probably order a factory light and LED lamps if this causes any problems. I hope this helps!
