Mine may be an earlier model, but I can tell you, as all the reviews I read say, that it is extremely light and surprisingly warm. I don't know how Marmot does it, but they have a great product. I happen to own several newer down jackets, but this is still my "go-to" jacket that goes with me on almost every trip into the wilderness.

I replaced a jacket that felt too heavy to me. This jacket while light weight and warm is so light that it shifts if placed on a chair. It must be hung up.
