Not what I was expecting
I was hoping for somethng that would really work for me. The recipes I tried were tasty .. so no complains there .. the issue I had was no consideration for people with food sensitivites and no if you can't eat this, substitute that .. I did find that tryign to do 3 smoothies that wre fruit based in the same day sent my body into a sugar shock and I had to stop that on day two .. it was simply too much fruit sugar for me ... I didn't really learn anything new from any other book I've purchased on how to reset my metabolism or actually lose weight. Women's bodies are different than men .. and I guess my first clue I should have paid attention to was a man telling me (a woman) what would work. I really didn't want to become a nutrition specialist .. but I am discocvering that 99% of the books out there all say the same thing .. however our bodies are different and I've yet to find a soul that talks about that other than different by age and occasionally by gender. What I really want to know is HOW to reset from what caused me to get out of balance in the first place. My metabolism flipped from burning eveyrhting to burning nothing when I was under extreme stress for a year AND was put on bio-identical hormones (which I only took for 2 years) I put weight on immedialely with the bio-identicla hormones and NOTHING and I mean NOTHING has helped since .. not the 10 doctors i went to, not the dieting, not the exercising, not the meditations or inner work... I have only los 2 ounces and that when I added bacon back to my diet. The best advice I've been given ever is to see what foods I'm actually sensitive to (which I did from Check my body health) and stop eating those (which I did) and to eat more .. which was discovered from my diet log .. while I was eating 3-5 times a day my overall calorie count wasn't enough to convince my body to burn fat ... I'm still seraching for the way to actually reset my hormones so mt metabolism and I can get along ..

A nice add on to the body reset diet book!
I also bought the body reset diet along with this. Both books were worth it- I’m on a much healthier path thanks to Harley.

Delicious recipes!
I've wanted to love shakes for a long time, but I've never had a truly yummy one (that was healthy). I had already read the 5 factor book and decided to buy this. I don't love ALL of the smoothies, but the cost was totally worth the ones that have become my favorites and total staples in my diet! I'll eventually get to making some of the other recipes and snacks. Overall, I think it's well worth the money. I didn't follow the 5 factor exactly as intended, but I did do the reset with 3 shakes a day, down to 2, and then 1, added in the couch to 5k program for some exercise plus 1-2 bike rides a week and I'm down 26 pounds. Even though I didn't follow it precisely, it was what I needed to get back into the swing of things!

easy
This book is so easy to follow and it works. It breaks down the science for you and allows you to make your own decisions based on availability and preference to certain foods. I was shocked to see how well it works. After not losing any weight for years despite multiple attempts at diet and workouts, I lost 5 lbs the first week as advertised. Going strong on week two and already know I will take the lessons into the future!

Good recipes
Lots of different recipes than the Body Reset Diet book. I did not like that a lot of the smoothies call for coconut milk or almond milk.

Smoothie Love!
I am now a smoothie convert!! I bought his other book first, and almost immediately decided I needed this one as well. My daughter looked at mine and also bought both. We started this as a family and did it the way you are supposed to. My husband is 21 pounds lighter, I am 23 pounds lighter and my daughter is 20 pounds lighter. We haven't felt deprived, haven't had any issues with energy, and actually enjoy every minute of our smoothies! My daughter and I are both flight attendants and have been able to do this even at work. We both bought travel blenders and can sometimes be seen making smoothies on the jet bridge! He has a wide variety of smoothie recipes, meal recipes, and snack recipes as well as all the health and nutrition info you could about this plan and lifestyle. We've been doing this since November and have no plans to stop!

Another fad diet. One for the bin
Argh why do I always buy American cook books? This one has all the traits- cheap paper, hardly any photographs, and all measurements in cups. To top it off, it’s just another fad diet

Best diet ever, this book was a must!
The body reset diet book didn't have enough recipes so I bought this. The results I have with little physical activity is amazing. I could eat like this forever. I love fruits and missed eating yogurt, I've ditched low carb and going this diet all the way! Everything is simple and therefore a lifesaver!

A great companion to the Body Reset Diet
I have to say that Harley's Body Reset Diet has been great for me. The meals are really good (there are a few duds, but that is with any cookbook). There are more smoothie ideas here and lots more meals to choose from, which is why I bought this in addition to the Body Reset Diet book. I just tried the Turkey Bacon Burger tonight and it was delicious! I have lost 24 pounds in just 2.5 months and am not hungry. This book helps keep the variety of food options open and continues to follow Harley's guidelines. I'm a believer.

Like the bold print, easy to read and understand
I like the recipes in this book. They are very healthy. Need to make a grocery list to get all the ingredients before you start these recipes.

Lots of information for change
I like recipe books but I'm beginning to understand that most of the recipes in the 'newest' diet plans are recipes that I really don't like or enjoy. I would have to modify them to a great extent. I usually like the smoothies or the salads but the fish (tuna) etc. are just way out of my budget.
