Definitely your larger then average board. I use it almost exclusively for salmon on the great lakes. Due to it's size it doesn't porpoise like smaller boards in rough water. It can also handle much more drag then a conventional board without drifting back. Lead core or copper not a problem. You can even run jet divers with a flasher/fly and they won't fall back. Can take a little muscle to reel them in and don't always use them but it is a great tool to have in the boat.
