Not as effective as it could be
I'm not a fan. I attached it to two broom sticks that I drilled to feed the line through. Unfortunately the lead line isn't heavy enough to keep it on the bottom and there are sizeable gaps between the lead line and the mesh, through which most bottom dwelling fish escape anyway. The latter issue you can fix by stitching the mesh to the lead line in more locations, but you shouldn't have to.
