Purchased this product with the view of using on the soft sand on the beach and on a sunbed lounger around the pool.When opened up fully it is large enough for 2+ people and bags, but folded in half it is more than enough to cover a sun lounger. A few people on the beach took notice of the idea rather than using own towels to lie on or paying the price of a lounger.The fabric is very light and thin, unless it is pegged into the sand it can be easily lifted with wind, I used a shoe on each corner to help the plastic pegs hold and to stop the wind catching underneath.The fabric is similar to umbrella ie nylon, although I am not sure it is water resistant as they describe, hence why 4*On returning home from hols, the sheet has been washed and dried, without any problems. Would not recommend using the sheet on rough ground ie gravel as the fabric would tear quickly.

I bought this due to the great selling point that it lets stand through its mesh, sounds too good to be true. Well it kind of is. The description says “Double layer of mesh design make the sand slips through the top of mat and won't come back up when you sit or lie on the beach.” .. what it doesn’t mention is that this mesh only runs along two of the sides (the lighter blue) and so any sand of the rest of the mat just sits there as with any other picnic blanket. Not as expected.

Waterproof not good

I really like this mat specially because it's very practical. It's true that there are beautiful mats in the market and this one it is nice but simple, however the best of this mat for me is that is very lightweight and you can carry it inside the little bag included, secondly is waterproof so i don't have to worry anymore about keeping wet mats into my beach bag and to finish the sand doesn't stick into the mat :)Also, last Sunday i went to the beach on a windy day and used the plastic cloves in every corner. The mat didn't move in the entire day.

We bought this for a beach holiday to Greece and used it multiple times.All I can say is, it’s much better than using a beach towel...PROS.Waterproof.Large surface area.Able to peg each corner into the sand to keep it from folding over.Convenient carry bag.Folds up quite small.FINE sand will filter through the blue panels with little fuss.CONS.It’s not exactly as described. The sand does indeed filter through but ONLY on the LIGHT BLUE panels... the dark blue panel in the middle feels like a polyethylene so the sand just sits on top. Larger grains of sand will not and even medium grains have to be coaxed through. On the plus side, it’s easy to shake the sand off if required.The bottom line is, this is a great beach mat which has been well thought out but don’t expect sand free beach bathing.

Very lightweight storage is easy as it folds small and lightweight and doesn't hold sand one shake and is sand free

Bought this as a lightweight product for travelling abroad. Although it served the purpose there are better quality items out there

I Have not tried this blanket on the sand yet, however I am still happy with it. The blanket was well packed and came in it’s own carry bag. I guess I didn’t read the description well enough, because I didn’t realise it came with pegs .l. Real bonus! As you can see I pegged it down, just as well because it was a little bit breezy. The blanket stopped me from getting damp clothes sitting on the ground. Winner in my book.
