Essential reading about Epicureanism and Stoicism
This book is an essential primary source for anyone wishing to know about the ethics of Stoicism or Epicureanism. It explains and critiques the ethics of both schools of philosophy. It also includes the ethics of what Cicero calls the Academics.I think both the Stoic and Epicurean ethics have much to offer to the modern person interested in philosophy. The book is well written by Cicero and the Loeb edition is an excellent translation.
