Great Product with Incredible Customer Service!
This was my second purchase of this unit for 2 different macbook pros. The quality of the build is fantastic. the metal enclosure is really great looking, and it is incredibly easy to setup. It worked really well with my first macbook pro. Driving an LG Ultrawide monitor and other peripherals including a USB audio interface 2 USB 3 hubs, and multiple webcams. But when I got a new laptop, I started having a problem with the first unit and the customer service via facebook messenger chat was VERY responsive working through troubleshooting procedures to try and find a solution. After a lot of testing, the problem seems to be with the macbook pro and NOT the docking station. Again the customer service representative was friendly and thorough in their responses. I wish all companies were this responsive!

Good dock, but plan ahead
I purchased this as a second dock to use at home. This one works well and has more ports than the OEM dock I have at the office, it does run quite hot. Expecting that it would from previous devices in the same form factor, I designed my desk setup to accommodate for that and heat has not been an issue. I did have repeated connectivity issues with my wireless keyboard/mouse when I put the single on the back of the dock, but moving it to the front solved that issue. I expect that the metal on the dock is interfering with the signal (since it’s also going through a think wooden desk).

Phenomenal USB C Dock Works With Alienware M17
The Tiergrade USB-C Docking Station is a incredible value for the money. It works with my Alienware M17xR4 with a Alienware Graphics Amp attached. It dissipate heat extremely well and is very well constructed. It's metal case acts as a heat sink so it doesn't require a fan that can fail or create more noise. I am still trying to figure out exactly which of the three video cards this device is using but it has to using the one in the AGA considering the internal GeForce 1070 is disabled, it could be using the Intel that runs the laptops built in monitor but that's not being used and I have 3 monitors and a VR headset already attached to the GeForce 1080 Ti on the AGA.I didn't purchase this for the graphics though but I do want to see exactly how it's going to work on this system and if it's going to cause a slow down at all. It will take a lot more time for me to figure all that out. I will update it as I do if there is any interest. The data transfer rate is incredible and it has plenty of ports and added value everywhere. I honestly didn't expect it to work with the Alienware and AGA since the AGA acts like a dock of it's own but it's working perfectly. My only problem and I am going to contact them about it is the front two USB ports appear upside down and that's hard to use my security keys in them. It doesn't matter with regular cables but those have a button that must be pressed and it's hard to reach. It also comes with a good usb C to usb C cable to connect it.I am extremely happy with this Tiergrade Docking station and look forward to using it for even more in the future. I will update this as I have an answer to the upside down ports and which video card is being used when I connect to it.

Seems okay but no cable!
Seems to function as expected. Packaging and build are solid. I was completely surprised and taken aback that it doesn't come with an appropriate USB-C to USB-C cable!!! Every other USB-C or TB3 dock that I've purchased have come with a cable to connect the darn thing to the computer!!! Especailly annoyed since the product description of what's included says that a cable is provided, but the unit I received did not have it.I have a charging cable from an Android phone that I'm using now and everything works except slow data transfer and no video...which I can't tell is because of the product or the cable! I've ordered an appropriate cable (which, now, unfortunately won't let me do a full evaluation for another 2 days) and I'll update this review when I get that and determine whether the video and data transfer speed actually work or not.*** Update ***After attaching the appropriate cable, it works well and the video and data transfer are fast, so I'm updating this review to 3 stars. I still think that it should come a USB cable.

Exactly What I Was Looking For
I purchased and recently began using a late model computer that is the USB C type plug in for both power and data. In preparation for having and using the computer I researched the USB C connectivity and as a result ended up finding this Tiergrade USB C hub solution. I am in a big home, I work from home and I have two offices, one upstairs and one downstairs. The downstairs office is my main work station with plenty of peripherals (dual monitors, wireless keyboard, external hard drive(s) and sound). The upstairs is just one peripheral monitor and wireless keyboard. So I purchased two of these hubs and it enables me to plug/unplug one connection to the computer when I move from one location to the other and the matching hubs make it seamless. And on a Tiergrade support note I also want to say how happy I was with that. I began using two older monitors downstairs while waiting for a shipment on some new Hewlett Packard monitors. Things were a bit wonky with the older monitors. I won't go into detail.....just wonky. I contacted Tiergrade by email and they responded very promptly apologizing for my inconvenience and helping me troubleshoot the old monitors. They were happy to learn that I had new monitors on the way and agreed to stand by if I needed further assistance and assured me that the situation would be resolved to my satisfaction even if they had to replace the hubs or take them back and provide a refund.I am very happy with this technology.

It did not install with Windows 11
I was impressed with the packaging. I have a new Dell Inspirion 16 laptop with Windows 11. Frustrated with Windows as I the application software did not load. That coupled with the fact that this computer does not have a C charging port, negated the benefits of this docking station.
