Let me preface this review by saying I love my new hat and I recommend it. In choosing a hat, I read countless ads and reviews. I needed a hat primarily for rain, although many offer sun protection, as this one does. I have a very small head, and I immediately saw the adjustable band at the top that offers a number of various sizes that it can accommodate. This was a huge plus as I did need to adjust it to the smallest size. It has seven holes to make it fit smaller or larger and even the smallest hole really doesn’t make it look malformed. It was imperative that it have an adjustable chin strap so I wouldn’t lose it in case of high winds. It can be removed if desired but when not in use, I just tuck it inside the hat. It seems pretty sturdy so far. Lastly, I needed it in a matte navy blue (a good all around color in my opinion), and this was perfect. I have worn it in the rain, (not a downpour yet), but it repelled the rain very well. The size of the brim is perfect, as I wear glasses and I had no trouble with getting water on them or with the brim obscuring my vision. When it’s not in use, it folds nicely within my purse and comes back out looking great when needed again. This hat was a little more expensive than many I looked at, but it had all the necessities that I was looking for, so it was quite worth it. It’s nice to purchase something on line that actually works so perfectly the first time, and with the available adjustments, I highly recommend it. I would definitely buy it again!

Of course it hasn't rained since I received it... It has a flexible brim which is large enough to give you good protection from rain or sun, but if you need to see forward better, you can bend the brim back (like a fisherman's hat). Initially I wondered why the ties and label were on the outside - then turned it right side out - fit a lot better and the straps are perfect in the breeze. I don't know why Amazon asked if it was warm - I didn't consider it for that. It's a really nice hat and the buckle makes it look dressier.UPDATE: It rained! It keeps my head and shoulders dry and stays on my head in the rain. It does not droop like a wet noodle around your head. It also drys well - it got soaked and was dry next day. YAY best hat ever!

I love the wide bendable brim. It keeps the sun (or rain) off my face. It is adjustable, waterproof, washable and you can roll it up to put in your purse, big pocket or luggage. I am not much of a hat wearer, but needed to be able to walk on the rain without getting soaked. This will keep my hair and face dry.

Wore this several times in the rain and looks nice. The brim, as noted in other reviews, is very wide and therefore keeps water from dripping down your neck but it does hit your collar and gets pushed up really easily. To avoid that, I turned up my brim but this results in a “moat” around your head that dumps out when you lean your head (and needs to be dumped out before you go back inside!). It has so far kept my head dry.

Hat was cute, but the head dome part ran small in circumference (and I don't think I have a particularly large head). Brim was wide and details were adorable. Overall, good looking hat.

Very nice hat!

Used this hat in Ireland in rainy weather. It kept my head dry and the rain off my face. The wide brim kept the rain from going down my collar. I recommend it!

The hat is too small, I never considered my head to be big, but this had is way too small. The buckle that is used to make the hat snugger or looser does not work, the part of the buckle that goes into the hole is too short and will not stay. Hat is heavy and not attractive.
