It say hard like steel sands like wood it's true . damn true.
This product has gray on the box well it's black when wet and it's been dry for several weeks and it's still black. It's consistency is very very very sticky but man does it stick and bond and just hold things together like nothing I've seen . . You can come back and add more or make it thick as you need . be sure you get it close to how you want it to look or you'll be going through a lot of sand paper . I have a 15 ' aluminum boat with a 60 mercury and it flexed so bad it rippled the bottom of hull near transom leaving a 2 inch crevice. I filled it in with marine tex then also added float pods and need clean water flow from hull over these so I used marine tex to smooth out the old beat up boat and it's really a lot faster on the water now . I used this product like Bondo because I knew it wouldn't crack but would flex a little. It's hard I'll tell you that and it's still holding up .

Great Product
I have used this product for years it is invaluable for the right installation Totally weatherproof the white has a very nice finish glossy black not as much but I use much more black than white it is kind of expensive but I keep it on hand all the time both Black and white it last a very long time without hardening in the can. I use many types of epoxy's and this is one of my favorites.

BEWARE! ***GRAY is acually BLACK"
I've used Marine-Tex for years on my various sailboats, and it worked great for many applications. But this was the first time that I ordered "Gray" color, instead of "White." The color out of the can and applied is dark BLACK, not GRAY. It may lighten after curing, but I doubt that it will every get to a gray tone.
